I've currently got my Xbox and PS2 hooked up using optical cables. Its obvious to me that the Cube can be hooked up to surround sound, but I just can't fathom out how. Someone please put me out of my misery and tell me what I am missing. Apologies for the incredibly dumbass nature of this question. Edited by Juninho at 12:55:36 21-01-2005 |

Registered 20 years agoNot sure on this but don't you just hook the Gamecube up to your surround amp (which must have Dolby Pro Logic II support) using standard red and white phono leads? -

Registered 20 years agoJust use normal analogue phono cables - a pair. The surround sound is hidden in with the stereo signal. You amp needs to be capable of decoding Prologic II tho. Its the better option with the PS2 as well as the DTS support is pretty limited.
Just have to get the stereo out of the cube as gamingdave says below.

Cube has no digital audio out. So its either an official RGB cable, splittin gof the sound via either a scart switcher or your TV, or an unofficial scart lead with seperate phonos.
