I've been following this game for a couple months now.

It's made by one guy and looks more interesting to me than any other city builder released in the last five years.

Nice - really looking forward to this ever since I saw the first article some time ago on RPS. So much interesting stuff in development now, I keep losing track - what's the name of that "build a settlement on a different planet" game again?

Originally planned for the end of the month, the game is mostly finished. According to the last devlog, he's just adding tutorials and adding in achievements.

Looks like he might just make his deadline.

While I have it on my Steam wishlist, I think I may get it from Humble instead, you get a Steam key anyway...

Yeah, I'll be buying it directly from the Shining Rock site (if it's not too busy). You get a steam key and a DRM free version iirc. Reddit seems to think more money goes to the dev if you do it that way.

A couple of Eurogamer staffers are very interested in this game, there's even a page for it here: http://www.eurogamer.net/games/banished-pc

Fingers crossed they'll have areview out for it, I'd prefer an EG let's play though.
