Like the new big screen interface on the PS3, even if it does forfeit some real estate. Seems quicker as well, pretty much instant viewing.

Anyone recommend any good horror films on UK Netflix? I've watched a few recently, but I'm really in the mood for some creepy unsettling horror.

Anyone seen Twixt? Shitty IMDB rating but apparently a Francis Ford Coppola directed horror, bit experimental?

Watched VHS and Apollo 18. Both not bad, worth seeing overall. I'll check out Pontypool next. Someone on the previous page mentioned Hola to get US Netflix for free; thank you so much for that, it works a treat! I see though there's just as much shite on their Netflix though. Seems like half the sci-fi and horror genres are filled with awful Asylum crap.

The Hunt (2012) is well worth watching. It's about a teacher in a small village in Denmark falsely accused of child abuse. It's quite harrowing at times but very engaging and thought-provoking.

Also the Last Stand is fairly decent but Kim Ji-Woon is capable of so much more. I Saw The Devil, A Bittersweet Life and A Tale of Two Sisters are far superior in every way. Arnie isn't a very good actor but the action is well directed and exciting.

The Hunt is a great film. Gets you very angry and agitated watching it though!

House of Cards UK version. No idea what to expect but loved it. The way the main character actually looks at the screen and speaks to you directly is a great touch.

Ian Richardson puts in a great performance as the main character in his plans to gain power in the Tory party . When he sets up an incident against the health minister at a hospital is just priceless :)

Along with his common spoken line in the series "You may think that, but I couldn't possibly comment."

Watched Marc Maron's 'Thinky Pain' tonight. Very funny stand-up. Reminds me of Louis CK.

I highly recommend Castle (UK Netflix) if you like Nathan Fillion and humorous crime shows. I'd liken it to Psych if I had to compare it to another show.

Does anyone know how to watch US Netflix on an iPad? I imagine it would require faffing about with router settings but I'd rather not make it a default for everyone in the house.

I believe you could just change the DNS in the wifi section on the iPad. That just changes it for the iPad. Not tried it myself.

Another option, is setting up a VPN. I've done the opposite to you, connected to the UK from a non-Netflix country abroad, which worked great.

Cheers buddy. Had a look and looks like DNS settings could be the ticket.

Yep that's definitely what you need to do.

I use unblock-us which is $5 Canadian a month, but there are free ones out there I think

For those not in the know, your current £5.99 sub allows you two concurrent streams, ie: someone else can watch a movie at the same time. One thing I never realised is, they have another sub option that allows 4 concurrent streams, this is £8.99 a month. Have a look in the Your Plan section on the website.

Another tip, I was away at the weekend (UK based) but in a hotel with a crappy connection (around 1Mbps). Netflix wasn't having it all. So I went to my Playback settings (again on the website) and changed my settings from HD to Auto. Restarted Netflix on my iPad and all was good. Obviously quality wasn't amazing and I did get the occasional buffer but could help someone out in a bind.

Final tip, The Last Stand was alright with an aging Arnie, a fast car, big guns and the odd one liner - 7/10

There's a British horror comedy on US Netlix called Stalled, which is very funny.

Man stuck in a toilet cubical during a zombie apocalypse on Xmas eve.

Someone gave it a zero on metacritic (critic reviews). I thought it was a really good film, Walken was on top form

I actually watched it the other day as well. It's no In Bruge but still very watchable.

Fans of amusing crime drama comedy type things need to check out Castle. Also, White Collar is a pleasant enough way to while away 42 minutes (and has the added bonus of the occasional appearance by the ever lovely Tiffani Thiessen)
