    The Martian has just been added. Not seen it myself, but I hear it is good.

    @askew

    yup - it's a good and fairly faithful adaptation of the story...it's very much a character-based slow-burner, though...

    gerald's game was also good, though it's never been one of my favourite king stories...

    Half way through Stranger Things 2 im pleased that making everything bigger hasn't ruined the smaller things that made the first series so charming.

    Biggest questions so far is why no one seems all that affected by the events of the first season and why the new cool guy has such a terrible mullet wig

    I'm only 3 episodes in, but I'm very much enjoying it. Its been a while since I watched something and didn't think "this could have been done better".

    If I'm being fashionable I would say Under the Shadow, The Babadook or It Follows.

    Also since I can't be bothered to check if I've said it already but Sofie Hagen's Live at the BBC set is absolutely fantastic.

    The ones with Nish Kumar and James Acaster are great too but Hagen's has the funniest moment I've seen for ages in it.

    @Youthist

    what type of horror? the recs above are good but then you;ve also got the more psychological stuff like the conspiracy, creep, coherence,the invitation etc....and is triangle on there? soft spot for that film for some reason, i think because it reminds me of the brilliant timecrimes....

    Oh yeah, there's some good home invasion type ones too, Housebound and You're Next, both of which have a sliver of black comedy in them.

    @simpleexplodingmaybe I thought Nish was good and the American afterwards, the three after weren't nearly as good and I didn't even finish them.

    Sounds like his parents have stopped paying for his Netflix and it's pushed him over the edge.

    Can his parents remove his ampersand key as well? That way he might one day learn not to type like a fucking idiot. Or stop typing entirely. Either way we all win.
