He tried to have sex with his own cousin but in his defense he hadn't had sex for a very long time.

    Edit: Hello new page.

I quite liked an Australian comedy series called A Moody Christmas and its follow up, The Moodys. A Moody Christmas doesn't have much of a Christmas feel as it's an Australian Christmas. It's about a photographer working in London who keeps going back to visit his Australian family at Christmas.

Ozark is a 7/10 for me. Another one of those shows that takes itself too seriously but isn't actually an interesting commentary on anything, where there isnít much character development and the plot holes are too big (you canít operate a ridiculous money laundering operation when the FBI are watching you...).
Not much character development? There's tons from psychopaths becoming relatable to the main character trying to remain civilized in hell.

I can see why it hasn't got universal praise - it's fucking grim and it just gets grimmer as the character and story move on. But it's also a true reflection of how life can be a hell hole that gets worse no matter what intentions you have. And it's pure quality - acting, production, uneven pace.

Really? I mean (Ozark late-season spoiler), his intentions were pretty bad right from the start. He knew exactly what he was getting into, and was motivated mainly by greed. It's not even as it was a Breaking Bad type scenario where he was kinda forced into it to look after his family.

I disagree. He says in the fist scene money is a measure of choices and security. He's deeply naive as the first moves of his partner was murder and eye ball gouging which deeply shocks him, but up till his business associates are murdered for cheating, he still would not dream of crossing the cartel. he thinks cause he is good at his job it can all come together and provide for his family forever. Maybe greed, but acceptable greed in the american dream.

    imo

Wor lass is watching the one where Ross is angry about Rachel not saying goodbye enough to him.

    He's the worst.

@WinterWonderBoy nevertheless, it's still greed. He was given a choice in the flashback episode, with no pressure or threat of violence, and he did it because, in his words, it would mean they would never have to worry about money again. He may have been a bit naive, but is still a very clever man, and so knew what it entailed.

I just disagree slightly with your notion of "it shows what a hell-hole life can be, despite your best intentions". There are plenty of series that explore this in a much more reasonable and realistic way than Ozark does.
