No, they move quickly too, some of the Portuguese script is spoken crazy fast.

The English dub is horrible, so that's not an option either.

edit: :D Just realised you were talking about Money Heist! As you were.

Just finished Kantaro: sweet tooth salary man. Fucking brilliant. It's funny, charming, magical, surreal and utterly bonkers in a way b that Japanese media can really only achieve!

Kantaro is a buttoned up aloof salesman but he has a dark secret... He loves sweets! He sneaks off to eat sweets during work hours.

Eating sweets often causes insane hallucinations involving dance routines, people's heads turning into fruits, songs and more.

It's like nothing else i have seen. Watch it!!!

Yeah I've not had the patience to deal with subs for 3% either. Shame as it seems like my sort of thing but my attention span is out the window and that doesn't work with subs. Will have to deal with that.

So. Happy! is... odd. I never read the comic, despite being a massive Grant Morrisson fan. But this is odd even by his standards.

Not odd in a bad way. More odd in the sense that, like Dirk Gently, I think it may take a couple of episodes before it hooks me.

Wait! What? The new adventures of monkey!? Loved the original. Such a big part of my youth. I'll be having some of that.

Happy is fucking mental. And very, very gory. It's a bit like the Kick-Ass movie in terms of its tone (though I liked it a lot more than Kick-Ass).

Can't seem to find the Arrested Development thread by the search so may as well post here.

Mitch Whatshisname has said Season 5 is imminent (as in literally will be on Netflix really soon) but on Friday they are launching season 4 "remix" where the episodes have been recut to be more like the first three seasons.

    Oof!

Adam Sandler and Chris Rock in “the week of”.

Watched it the other day. was actually quite funny and heartwarming. the premise was as old as the hills (rich guy learns it isnt all about the money, poor guy learns the same), but I enjoyed it and it had decent pacing and laughs. Adam Sandler not totally terrible, who would have thunk it.

@Dougs Yep I'm absolutely all over that on Friday, been looking for something "new" to watch since finishing my third viewing of The Shield so that'll do nicely to refresh in time for season 5 :)

Finished Wild Wild Country last night. Surprised I can't remember this from the news at the time.

There's something that strangely draws me to Sheela....if she set up a cult locally I'd probably drop in....

Let's face it, you don't get to be head-honcha of a global sex cult if you don't have some serious va-va-voom...

...I get the impression she walked the walk, as well as talked the talk, ifyouknowwhatimean 😜...

Sheela is ace. She is one of the few people you can imagine strolling into a real life Game of Thrones and loving it. Cirsei would have no chance.

Glad it's not just me then. I was worried she had tv-hypnotised me.
TBH I thought the whole place looked quite appealing. They all seemed happy...
Better than the Christian no-sex camp that has replaced it.

It seemed a semi functional counter-culture. Society hates them, as you can see how they went after them, so I doubt they'd advertise it other than being a mad cult.

There was a Guardian article, interviewing an English kid who grew up there, published the other day.

Seemed great fun for the dads who uprooted their families to go have polygamous hippy sex with all and sundry. Not so much fun for their wives. And not much fun for the kids either, who were left educating themselves. The chap they interviewed could not read or write when his mum took him out of the camp...

I am all for counter culture. But I wouldn't base mine on the unifying healing power of having shouty orgies.

Got the feeling that she's only biding her time at that old folks home before coming back to reclaim the throne
