Happy is dark, but it is also a lot of fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Me too. Mrs Hermit felt that the exploded baby in the microwave was a bit much, but on the whole she's enjoying it as well.

    The Cloverfield Paradox

Watched this during a flight last night so since I had nothing better to do than sit beside a snoring fat woman I guess it wasn't a complete waste of time but man.

I recommend to NOT watch this. It's complete and utter garbage.

Giving The Rain a go since itís all over the Internet. Watched the first episode, seems by the numbers zombiefare right now.

To anyone who knows... the little boy Rasmus, is he the big boy Rasmus too? Its very uncanny. If it is that is dedication!

Anyone who likes their documentaries , check out Evil Genius. Absolutely had me gripped from the start. My favourite documentary since making a murderer.

Watched that yesterday. Fiction just can't match reality for bizarreness.

Agree that is well worth a watch.

Finished yesterday. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Insanely and darkly funny. Hopefully they make a season 2!

Yeah, Evil Genius has been great so far. Just like a Fargo story without snow really. Everybody is fucking horrible and it's darkly hilarious.

Finished Money Heist. I enjoyed it but got irritated near the end as with all these programs due to the rancid stupidity of so many of the bandits. I mean Tokyo driving back into the mint causing the death of Moscow? And how shit are the police that they cant shoot someone on a fecking motorbike.

Also the utter idiocy of the bandits not at all understanding that they are FUCKING CRIMINALS not some sort of robin hood types.

Does Rain ever get going? I'm three episodes in and everyone in it is a stupid, boring wanker.

Not seen that one, has it just been added? Or is it the genero title that's a bit forgettable?

Martin Freeman thing that's on the main page. Netflix original, looks like it's just been added.

I think it just went up Friday or yesterday. Haven't seen the trailer but I think I've been away from zombie/not-zombie media long enough to dive back in for this one.

I watched Cargo last night and thought it was just about ok but yeah it is a bit slow. There isn't much in it to make it worth recommending. The aboriginal and outback setting is the most intersting thing about it but that part is pretty much just window dressing. The ending could have been a deleted scene from Shaun of the Dead, ENDING SPOILER the aboriginal girl uses a carrot on a stick and rides Martin Freeman like a donkey.

I've been watching Kantaro the Sweet Tooth Salaryman recently. A book salesman secretly indulges in his passion for desserts in between visiting bookshops. I'm only 3 episodes in and I'm still not quite sure what to make of it, it's part travelogue, part food review. I like it but it is a bit of an odd one.

and another vote for Evil Genius.

Just came in to post about this myself. I'm 5 episodes in now and the intrigue is still there, but the writing is pretty bad and it's surprisingly boring for long stretches. Tonally, it's all over the place too - some quite dark moments (dead children, teenage rape) and then the YA fiction its based on takes centre stage and you've got people saying stuff like "Did you ever have sex before the rain? Teehee hee. Boobies."

Episode 5 has a weird-ass shower scene as well, where suddenly everyone is dancing around naked. I felt like a bit of a sex pest watching that as its so fucking hard to tell how old they're all meant to be?! I assumed Rasmus was about 15 and the others were about 18-20, with Martin much older at about 30-ish. But then they all behave like 6 year-olds anyway and some are randomly fucking others so its a bit hard to tell what's going on.

I think there are only 8 episodes, so I'll see it through. It's quite nicely shot at least and the mystery is just about keeping me going. But, I won't be surprised if its not particularly successful.

    Edit - spoilerzzz

Still waiting for Marcella series 2. I thought I read it will be May, no sign yet though

2 episodes into Safe, it is just about doing enough to keep us watching.

I don't know how anyone can concentrate on a show with Dexter trying to do a British accent!
