    Calibre is a pretty good film. One for a week night. Splendid lead actors.

    ^^ Yeah, enjoyed it too. Nicely paced and didn't drag anything out for longer than needed.

    Watched the first two seasons of Colony over the last week. Great stuff, and apparently season 3 gets even better so looking forward to it when it lands.

    @spamdangled

    Judging by how long S2 took to appear you are in for a nice long wait...

    Lost in Space

    Huge fan of the Expanse, so avoided watching this like the plague. Looked far to much like annoying kids in space for my tastes.

    Gave it a try and me and my partner have been hooked. The kids and family are well acted, the villan is suitably evil though a little OTT. Add in some Sci fi and some impressive production values and it makes for a fun ride. While it wasn't edge of the seat stuff, I really enjoyed it from beginning to end.

    Just finished GLOW Season 2, holy shit, the best thing I've seen on Netflix for ages.

    @Anthony_UK same, I bounced off the first episode of Lost in Space but then it slowly grew on me like some weird alien fungus

    Started watching The Staircase recently. Quite enjoying it. Favourite bit so far was Hapless Powerpoint Guy.

    Really need to finish S1. Was quite enjoying it but then just drifted away from it. Will make it the next light comedy type thing that we watch!

    It's a little bit heavier than that, but there's levity there too.

    The first half a dozen or so that I watched were fairly light. Albeit with a serious edge. Lighter than most stuff I watch though!

    Oh yeah it's not super serious or anything like that, just it does touch on the impact of relationship issues etc, but I'm sure by now you've got the vibe. It's part of its strengths really isn't it.

    I never finished S1 of Glow, not sure why. Just didn't grab me tbh, felt like I'd already seen pretty much the same thing with OITNB.

    Half way through season 2, I don't rate it as highly as some, but it's enjoyable, all the characters are likable, and it's worth watching.

    FFS, if you going to call something 'How It Ends' you should probably actually put an ending on it.

    @captbirdseye

    I really like it but I often like things I see people moaning about on here, although to be fair that category pretty much includes everything :)

    Pretty shitty about How it ends being crap, nothing but bad reviews. Netflix seem to buy all these shit recent films

    Will watch the new Jim Jefferies special, the others were excellent

    I thought the new Jim Jefferies started well, but tailed off at the end.

    @captbirdseye yep. It's slow burning though. The sci-fi isn't really the focus; it uses the premise more as a springboard to examine how people would react in that kind of situation. It starts picking up around the end of the first season though and starts to answer some of the mysteries.

    Godís Own Country is a love story about gay farmers in Yorkshire. The sex scenes are raw AF but itís a very good movie.

    Pretty much. Yorkshire accents were a bit exaggerated and I donít know why they think we have country music on in our pubs, but it was very good otherwise. The Yorkshire moors as a backdrop was epic, but then I am biased as it was filmed where I walk daily.
