Tldr: They begin to exist in different time lines and learn to fix their problems by understanding each other. Their timeliness converge at the end of the final episode as a result
I thought the bit where it converged and they walked past each other was amazing. An absolutely superb bit of direction.
Yeah it was great. Was a stroke of genius having the day of the dead parade going on.
Goosebump stuff for me, that scene. Think there might be about six different Nadias in that scene.

I was very luke warm to the idea of a second season, but with that finale, they could take it in any direction at all. Apparently, the team pitched a three season plan.

Huh. I just thought there was some kaleidoscope/mirror/split-screen effect going on. I need to rewatch it.

Finished After Life. Probably my favourite thing Gervais has done since the Office. Held back the tears at the end.

Agreed. Easily the best show I've seen in years.

Watched all 6 eps of afterlife last night and thought it was brilliant. I've loved most stuff Gervais has written though so I may be slightly biased.
His writing is brilliant at tugging on the heart strings. I loved the characters in this show though, all of them were quite layered.

Overall it was my favourite show so far this year and I hope Gervais doesn't stop writing anytime soon as he is still fucking mustard.

@spindle9988 Same here, watched it all in one sitting this afternoon and loved every minute of it.

EDIT: Also, that psychoanalyst totally resembles an older Ian Higton

The Dawn Wall has appeared on Netflix recently. Solid documentary, and felt quite emotional at the end!

Yeah watched all of After Life today, it was excellent. Gervais doing his thing whilst also being all emotionally in touch and that.

    Really good show, recommended.

After Life. Better than anything he's done since Extras. Maybe up there with The Office. Looking forward to wrapping this up, it really is excellent and although Gervais plays a massive cunt (as always), he's not quite so annoying as he's been in more recent shows.

Bloody good, packed full of pathos, glolz and pain.

Should I feel ashamed after giving up after 20 minutes of the first episode? I know it evolves from him just insulting everyone but I just didn't find it that entertaining.

In my defence I watched a whole twelfth of the entire series...

Oh really, eh? So can Mrs Maybe tell what I am wearing then?

If it's anything like You, you're wearing nothing and are having a vigorous wanking session with the curtains open and the lights on.

Do you have a wanking cushion?

Dunno if people have already talked about it, but Just finished season 1 of Kingdom.

Great mix of Korean feudal period, with a bit of political usurping, mixed with a zombie outbreak.

Really beautifully shot as well. Best watched in original Korean with subs, unless you like broken stunted English dubs.

Same as above. After life. 100/100. Best series I've seen in years and easily the best thing he has done since the office. Incredible. So many different emotions.

Not a huge Gervais fan but After Life deserves some kudos. Funny, sad and thought provoking with a strong cast and frequent use of the C bomb

    Abducted in Plain Sight

Wtf is wrong with these people. "Oh, and then the guy just told me that he needed sex and asked me to beat him off, and I was like 'sure, what the hey, that sounds legit'"

    O_o

Echoing most people on After Life - thought it was brilliant. Yes kind of formulaic Gervais but fantastic. Some beautifully executed human touches.
