Wtf is wrong with these people. "Oh, and then the guy just told me that he needed sex and asked me to beat him off, and I was like 'sure, what the hey, that sounds legit'"

    O_o
I honestly thought it was all bollocks.

Yeah, they are *so* naive that it makes me think there's more to the story than could ever really be unpacked in 90 minutes.

If you like cartoons & need really short (10 mins per episode), something funny to watch before going to work/studies in the morning, try Aggretsuko. It's hard to put into words what this is, but basically its humour is based on everyday annoying, but painfully relatable situations, where the main character is trying really hard to keep calm face and not to rage quit.

That was my reaction too. Not that it was necessary all bollocks, and the bit about working the shaft was only a passing thought, but that the whole thing was confusing/disturbing and could have had a more investigation. I think we were getting half the story and not all of it was true.

Finished the Umbrella Academy this afternoon - all great stuff, with lots of interesting little subplots (like Hazel and the donut lady). I've got high hopes for season 2 :)

    Started the F1 series too

    After Life - 8/10

Decent. Gervais has still got it when he can be bothered. It's very predictable but he's very good at getting you to feel empathy for arseholes. Some very touching moments and some pretty funny ones too. Good supporting cast.

Only thing that seemed really off was him helping the druggy top himself. It was really underplayed to the point that it didn't matter much, and seemed at odds with the wider message of cherishing life etc. Bizarre side story.

Greenleaf is worth a watch if it's still on Netflix. It's about a mega church in America and stars the wonderful Keith David.

Currently watching Black Lighting and it seems OK so far.

Watched the first one earlier as well, absolute blast. Or a fun romp, if you will.

Stupid sarcasm and memes aside, I've watched it up to ep 3 now and... wow. If nothing else (and there's a lot of it IMO) I can only say the art is nothing short of incredible. Bloody hell o_O

Yar. I also love the length so far. I am a couple minutes into 3 - is it animation superimposed on live action?

    @Technoishmatt

Yeah, I think so. It's quite an uncanny effect in some of the shots.

Think I'm a bit more mixed on Love, Death and Robots so far. Of the first four I thought one was great, one was good, one was ok and one was awful. A good enough hit rate that I'll keep watching, but not as consistently strong as I'd have liked.

I watched the trailer a while back. Looks like it's going to be way way different to the first season.

Quite enjoyed the first episode of Love, Death & Robots. Mainly just for the visuals though, there wasn't much to it.

+1 for Love Death and Robots- are they all from existing SF short stories?

I've recognised Peter F. Hamilton, John Scalzi and Alisdair Reynolds so far.

LD+R is on my list. Looks great and big fan of anthology format series. Bit less of a commitment.

I've watched the first 4 of Love, Death and Robots. They're not all universally brilliant, but the general standard is high.

    The animation is incredible!

Two into it and I only ended up on here because I came up to the computer and emailed my brother about "Three Robots" as soon as I finished it. He's one of THOSE people.

And yes, I'm one of those people that still uses a computer for email. At least I'm not one of THOSE people.

He did a sitcom on Sky. It wasn't funny. It had something to say. It wasn't funny. Apparently a lot of people liked it and thought it was hilarious. Takes all sorts. I bet we'll all be talking about it years from now. Whatever it was called.

I would need a massive endorsement from someone I trust before I watched more "comedy" from Idris.

Really not getting Love, Death and Robots. I persevered through about 3 of them but concluded it really, really isn't for me.
