The new Robert Johnson documentary from the Remastered series is a great piece of all American mythmaking retelling one of the great American legends

Minor gripe - why isn't Remastered being uploaded as standalone episodes instead of a continuous series? I always seem to stumble across them by accident rather than getting them pushed toward me

Knock Down The House is a good inspiring watch about insurgent liberal progressive politicians like AOC in the US.

Makes me a little sad that our electoral and party system locks out the genuinely fresh and progressive so effectively.

Late to the game but I'm enjoying Star Trek Discovery. Happy I started it. Nothing particularly new and exciting but it's quite comforting. The main character is a bit annoying though which does dampen my enthusiasm for the show somewhat.

This isn't a recommendation, but Selling Sunset is worth an episode. It follows real estate people in LA and is very vacuous and I cannot stop watching

Is that the estate agents that only hires people that look like porn stars?

If so you should be ashamed Jono :D

She gets better but not until session 2. I like that season 2 listened to the complaints and made changes. They tried to get her to do the whole Vulcan muted emotions thing so she'd having to act through that straight jacket. In session 2 she behaves like a normal person. In fact they actually went all the way over and over she won't stop crying.

@Jono62 it had never occurred to me to make a profile for my partner. As it is my Netflix gets fully confused as she watches Crazy Ex Girlfriend and has ventured into queer eye as well as other female stuff. Netflix even prominently offered me gay television options at one point.

Good god, it's bad enough trying to sort out my streaming algorithms when my wife and kids use it (as I really object to spending the extra fiver), let alone Netflix.

Snowpiercer now on Netflix. I'd heard good things about it and I wasn't disappointed.

Good to hear. I *hated* the whole "you shouldn't kill him or you'll make a martyr of him" (5 minutes later) *kills him* though. I don't know why but she just reminded me of the daughter from 24 in that moment. "Don't do stupid shit" *does stupid shit*.

Season two uses more of the wider cast which helps

Plus Jonathan Frakes directs some very Trekish stuff in it

Heh. I watched 'About Time' last week and watching just one Curtis drama really bollixed my recommendations. I even had a row dedicated "For Mom" :(

Shame. It has some really good elements. It's clearly a bit more mature than previous Star Trek shows I've seen, which is welcome, and has some decent plot twists (although I'll be damned if they don't telegraph some of them). Still enjoying it for now though and will probably continue to season 2 as well.

We're rationing ourselves and have only watched the first so far. I liked that it was a lot darker and more devilish. It was getting a bit "cop show with a smart arse guy in a suit" before. This is much more like I was hoping it would be.

@GuybrushFreepwood Absolutely, the cop show bits were always the worst part (is it me or was it always the first person they spoke to!)

This one seems to have more emphasis on the overriding story and as you say seems to be going in a darker way.

Great name by the way, possibly my favourite game.

Really enjoying Tuca and Bertie show. Made by the Bojack Horseman people. Genuine laugh out loud moments, every episode.

Kin on Netflix is shite, started off promising but got really boring fast.

HBO Chernobyl is fucking horrific, terrifying and absolutely outstanding, deserves it's own thread.
