I noticed a few eg'ers recommending it so started watching Sunderland till I die last night. Amazing stuff, really is a curse letting in TV crews to a football club. I feel for the fans but couldn't help laughing at the same time.

Only 3 episodes in so far.
It's incredible. Probably the best football documentary I think I've seen. It feels like being a fan like nothing else.

    For those who've seen it

In one of the later episodes, 8 I think, when the injured player says he needs a dog because he's so lonely. Fuck. My heart.

The armchair fan will stay with me forever. Literally sitting in an armchair getting fired up at the radio. We have all been there.

Yeah trailer seemed like it could go either way frankly. Looks like it might fall apart a little later on when itís down to the kids (who seem to be at the centre of everything) to safe the world where the army dudes canít.

Finished Lucifer season 4, really enjoyed it although perhaps a few more episodes wouldn't have hurt. If it doesn't get a 5th, at least it left everything with at least some closure.

Wife and I just finished it last night too. Loved it. Weíre really big fans and this was easily the best series.

Wow, The Good Place is seriously... good. Watched all 3 seasons in 5 days. Amazing.

Best series since Breaking Bad for me. The production values are unreal.

Dark starts again June 21st. I rewatched season one over a few nights recently and it held up brilliantly, it really is one of the best single seasons of anything Netflix has produced - so, WATCH IT!

Season two trailer. Three seasons and done from the looks of it:

@Gunzberg I suggest a rewatch of season one man! So complex, I'd forgotten half of it.

I binned it after two (three?) episodes. Is it worth sticking with, then?

@BinaryBob101 was thinking the same. Forgot more than I remembered. Really good show. On season 2 of the Rain. Seems a bit like Dark Phoenix in nature. Not holding up as well as the first season but will persevere.

@nickthegun Oh fuck yes. You'll love Dark. Persevere with it and go with subs, the dubbed version is awful. It's superb, but it does take a few episodes to work out WTF is happening, so many characters to follow and the same ones in different time periods too. It's a lot, but so worth it.

Three seasons and done is perfect for this.

Tommy, tried The Rain, but it really didn't work for me.

Dark - does it go anywhere? By which I mean are questions answered eventually or is it endless mystery? For reference, The Leftovers is amongst my favourite shows ever, but Iíve been burnt by a lot of shows which ramp up the mystery and go nowhere. That Dark is 3 seasons and done sounds promising, as if thereís an arc and a plan for the story, rather than rinsing something until itís cancelled.

On the subject of subtitled shows, Iíve been enjoying

    Undercover

Flemish, two police officers go undercover and live on a camp site, aiming to take down a large scale ecstasy producer. Again, subs are a must.

Yeah, loads of questions are answered in the first season and many more are obviously set up for the next.

I've been burned by loads of shows too, it's just par for the course, The Leftovers was fucking brill though, so we disagree there!

I think three seasons for most sci-fi shows should be mandatory :D , the alternative is stuff like BSG and many others that get bogged down in their own mythology and cleverness.

Dark is fucking smart television, the writers seem to credit their audience with some intelligence to keep up, there's no hand holding, I like that a lot and I'd be surprised if they fuck this up.

Yeah, loved this series. Best thing on TV I think. Binged it all and then watched it again with my wife.

No no no! I LOVED Leftovers lol, you misread my comment, itís amongst my favourite shows ever! I mentioned it to illustrate I donít need or want everything tied up in a bow, but do I like some resolution - which I felt Leftovers delivered to be clear - rather than a million unanswered questions that tells me the writers never had a clue where it was going.

I loved it for the precise reasons you cite in your last paragraph about Dark, which Iíll definitely take a look at.

Ah, I thought you meant you loved it, but they screwed the landing. Gotcha and ditto, Leftovers is hugely underrated.

Go with Dark again, honestly it's totally worth the utter mind fuckery. Peak telly stuff.

It lost a bit of steam in the most recent series and I audibly groaned at the last episode hitting the reset button, but it is the best sitcom I've seen in ages.

Dark is very smart indeed. It does it's best to help you keep up with the characters too in very clever ways, as it's very twisty. We love it and can't wait for the new series. Was a brilliant show to fall into after the disappointment of Stranger Things season 2. It's not really comparable to be fair, but it did steal its thunder for us. Easily recommended.

Just started The Alienist (bit alienating at the moment if I'm honest but we'll stick with it), and The Society, which is a bit like Under The Dome but with teenagers... Hmm, we'll see how that pans out, but very interesting first episode.

I really enjoyed The Alienist in the end - it's a bit of a slow burner, but it really picks up

The Alienist is a really good adaptation...very good production values, but, and I don't want to be that guy, the book was fucking brilliant.

Good Omens is somewhat reminiscent of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy tv series and I mean that as a compliment.
