And I'm done with season 3 of Stranger Things. Great stuff, I really enjoyed that. I liked it better than season 2. Good fun spotting all the 80s references: terminator, Jurassic park, back to the future, Indian Jones, red dawn... It felt really well paced. There didn't seem to be filler or pointlessness which often is a problem. As much as I enjoyed it maybe one more and wrap it up. I would enjoy it if they revealed more about the upside down and explored that.

Watching fast and furious 26 or whatever the latest one is. Am I the only person that finds these garbage? They are so cliched that surely they know it and yet it seems like they take themselves very serious. For me they just melt into one and I just glaze over.
No matter how many people I like they squeeze into them it makes little difference. Itís just a waffly snore fest.

Just finished season 3 of Stranger Things (pretty much in a single sitting) and it was a lot of fun.

Yeah Iím two in and itís good to see the kids having a bit of fun with more to do, instead of running around screaming. Although thatís clearly coming, all the characters seem to be showing growth (literally as well)

Yeah I liked the second season but it was definitely weaker. I thought this was was a big improvement.

I personally thought the 2nd half of series 2 was better than series 1.

I've just done the 1st 5 episodes of stranger things season 3. I just love this series and will probably be done by tomorrow. The kids are still great as well.

    Same.

Just finished S3 in one ending. Moving ending, with a great cover of Bowie's Heroes.

Loved it, though not to the degree of the first 2. Missed the somewhat supernatural element and definitely didn't have the same tense moments that S1 and 2 had, bar the final episode in the mall.

I think they're ace. Preposterous nonsense of course, but so entertaining. Only really got into them with Fast 5, after they proved excellent distraction whilst my youngest was in hospital having a major op. They are batshit crazy but give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside when all is said and done..

They should just go full Saints Row and give them straight up superpowers next time

Yes, much. Slogged through the first 4 or 5 quite bored and then when I came back to it after a few months, I blitzed the rest.

I completely disagree. I think it's brilliant. I'm on episode 6 already. If you're not enjoying it now.then I wouldn't bother sticking with it. It's not going to do anything radically different.
Well, glad I stuck with it now. Watched episodes 3 and 4 last night and it's coming together nicely. Loving the new angle they're going for regards the Mind Flayer thing (Body Snatchers!) and the cast have come together better. The first two episodes seemed to be everyone just mugging at the camera.

Someone mentioned either here or somewhere else that this show really had the potential to be a new X Files. I agree with that. They've sort of done that, but it would have been nice to have a new mystery every season instead of the same upside-down stuff. But still, at least they're expanding on it to be fair and it does hold a lot of potential a-la Stephen King's multiverse.

I really enjoyed season 3 of Stranger Things.

(I feel like they certainly played and finished Limbo... ;))

You think they take themselves seriously? Aside from Vin Diesel's regular mumbleogues about family and such, I think they very much know how silly they are. Kurt Russell has been in the last couple, and he looks like he's having tremendous fun.

It's a shame that The Rock won't be in the mainline movies anymore, owing to IRL drama. But his thing with Statham looks fantastic too.

Yeah, it's from Fast 5 onwards that they actively embrace the madness. What's the deal with the Rock then?

Yeah, that basically. I don't think the specifics of exactly what happened are public, but it was serious enough that they refused to film any scenes together for the latest movie.

Gotcha. He's probably not far wrong tbf. Did a bit of digging, suggestion he might return with the Stath for the final installment.

I dunno, it could just be two large egos clashing and escalating over something relatively minor. I don't really know enough about either actor to say with certainty "oh yeah, that guy's a prick, it's probably his fault".

If I was Vin I wouldn't feel too happy about the biggest, coolest movie star on the planet showing up and stealing my franchise from under me

My favourite part of the saga was Tyrese saying "I WON'T BE IN THE NEXT ONE IF THE ROCK IS, IT'S EITHER HIM OR ME"

You could almost hear the crickets.

Holy crap! Here I was being cranky that Atomic Blonde wasn't added (yet?) over here in Belgium when I noticed Thor: Ragnarok is on there now. One of the very few MCU flicks I've not caught yet to boot!

I parked in Vin Diesel's car parking spot when I was last at Universal :-)

Only in a golf cart mind.
