Late to the party but I've started working my way through DC Titans this weekend. It's surprisingly properly good and in the Opposite Land of Netflix, miles better than those dull Marvel things they did.

Aye Titans isn't half bad! I'm working through session two. The calibre of actors they've managed to get on board tells you everything.

The Innocence Files seems really good. Seen Ep1. Focus on miscarriages of justice examined by The Innocence Project.

The Last Dance is a documentary looking at the 5 times basketball champion Chicago Bulls going for the 6th title. There were lots going on behind the scenes but it’s fascinating looking at Michael Jordan, Scottie et al and the access the film makers had.
It’s being released here two episodes at a time on Mondays. If you used to follow the Bulls from their 90’s heydays it’s well worth a watch.

The Eddy, and Hollywood, both out early May and look awesome.

Former is a Damien Chazzelle/Jack Thorne miniseries about the running of a Paris jazz club, and the latter is Ryan Murphy's new show about the golden age of, er, Hollywood.

New series of After Life on Friday too. Not sure where Gervais is going with it, might have been better to leave it be.

I'm not generally a fan of Gervais, but I did like After Life although I thought the end was a bit of a switch - I preferred the earlier episodes when he was a miserable twat.

Not to say I also didn’t question whether it needed a second series as well when announced.
His programs don’t seem to overstay their welcome though and deliver the drama points effectively (derek was probably his broadest and divisive but still had things to say). So I assume he has enough to revisit.

That or the Netflix money was too much to ignore.

    Circus of Books.

Worth it for the Jeff Stryker doll alone.

Getting some strong dodgy ReBoot vibes from the trailer for the new Ghost In The Shell series that's just popped up.

Maniac, one of the best series I've seen on Netflix.

Maniac was a good watch, though not nearly as weird as I wanted it to be.

Oh I’ve just remembered what this is, it’s been on my list for yonks. The Jonah hill, Emma stone thing yah? Got put off as it gives a bit of a legion vibe in so much it’s a tad “off the wall” and I never really settled into that.

@ChiefGB watch it! I'd say it has elements that reminded me of internal sunshine of the spotless mind and a bit of inception but different. From the creator of the original true detective. I loved it, very moving.

    Yep, just did.

It's... fine. Probably most similar to Taken, with most of Taken's flaws. The fight scenes are better (in that they're edited well and you can see and understand what's going on), but they're not on the level of, say, The Raid. There's a cool single-take sequence, but I'm pretty sure it's faked.

Just simple, no-nonsense stuff really. It's a decent watch, but probably not something I'll remember having seen in a few years.

    A classic Netflix movie, basically.

EDIT: Oh, and it's really weird to hear Chris Hemsworth with an Australian accent

Oh it *definitely* has a strong Legion vibe. So much so that someone should be suing someone else.

RG does write sad very well. The first ep had some brilliant moments of humour and Gervais loving the word Cunt, but it also has poignant moments, done very well.
