Has Netflix been playing up for anyone else this weekend?

We keep getting error codes and it failing to play shows. Long load times too.

Using PS4 app and every other internet device in the house is fine

I had that with my Amazon fire stick but that was due to shitty Virgin Media.

Fine here on PC. PS4's playing silly buggers.

PS4 streaming is shit. Tried the BT Sport app on PS4 and it looked terrible. Switched to XBox and it was perfect.

Anyhow, Snowpiercer? Iím quite tempted. Loved the film but realise this will be something rather different.

I liked the film, but didn't get on with the series. It just fell a bit flat for me, with little to maintain my interest.

Really enjoying the sunderland thing. Blasted through about half of the first series so far.

    Definitely maniac,I absolutely loved it.
Maniac is brilliant. I actually shed a tear at the life affirming climax of it. Emma Stone is so talented. Jonah Hill & her are executive producers on that show so they really knew what they were going for, and I guess they hit it spot on.

@Bichii & @oldskooldeano Hah, I had forgotten about that one. I thoroughly enjoyed Maniac.
It felt a lot like Lost without being stretched out for too long and then being wrapped up in a hurry. And I liked Lost for comparison, just thought it could've been much more.

In all fairness I should also add I'd consider watching Emma Stone staring at a brick wall for 10 hours a fantastic experience, because Emma Stone.

Managed 7 out of the 8 episodes of Dark today... couldn't manage the last as I have work tomorrow. Probably a bit frazzled. Feel the need to refer to a wiki for some elements but will do so after finishing it to avoid spoilers.

I finished both available parts of KENGAN ASHURA yesterday. It's about various corporate conglomerates settling disputes by hiring meathead representatives to fight for them in tournaments. Based on a fighting manga of the same name.

It's ALL KILLER AND NO FILLER. And that's not really an exaggeration, I don't think I've ever seen something quite as streamlined as this. Every episode has a fight, and there's not a lot of time left over to establish relationships, build up villain characters, etc. To me this makes the show kind of boring and samey after a while... but yeah if you want fighting, this series has a lot of it.

The fights are pretty well animated, in a 3d cel-shaded way like the newer Street Fighter games. Other aspects of the animation are shockingly poor. The tournament crowds especially - at best they have 3 or 4 frames of animation repeated again and again, and at a distance they look like textures from a PS2 game.

Also, this is a series for manly men. The few female characters are developed... IN THE CHEST, AM I RIGHT BOYS. Oh and there's a couple of gay characters, both of them retrograde and stereotypical.

Anyway, it didn't turn out as interesting as the premise made me thought it would, but I'd still give it a hesitant thumbs up if you're into this sort of thing.

I'm enjoying Snowpiercer, but it's not that smart and kinda cheesy. Just very watchable.

I've just started, and I'm pretty sure I've watched it, but can't remember any of the detail. Fun so far though.

    Two documentaries I've watched recently:

Athlete A - It's about the the doctor who sexually abused about 500 gymnasts and how it was covered up by USA Gymnastics.

The Great Hack - One guy asked if he could have his details held by Cambridge Analytica and they refused, so he went to see exactly what they did as a company.

Both are worth watching and both have shady as fuck individuals doing dodgy shit.

I would love to know how and why these films move between streaming options so regularly. JP and sequels were on Netflix for a time, then have recently shown up on Prime, and are now back. Hereditary too - think that was backed by Amazon so made sense they had first dibs, but is now over on Netflix.

The Eurovision film is the first Netflix original movie that Iíve enjoyed for ages.

Using the generally rule for Netflix original films Iím assuming that theyíre just distributors rather than the actual makers of the movie.
