There's still an ongoing court case with TV Catch Up iirc. Would be nice to have it all in one place. At the moment I have a mix of consoles, chromecast and Nowtv streaming boxes. Plus Sky box for terrestrial... Which I'd love to lose.

Freeview stuff is aerial only and rest of the channels through the passes are all streamed.

I do wonder why someone hasn't done a box like that because there is that catchup TV site that is all streaming.

EDIT - Looking again at TVCatchup, they don't have too many decent channels, maybe they did before or not.
Yeah. The free view is through your TV aerial and even though it has a guide to all live NOW TV channels and Free view the Now tv stuff is still viewed through the separate app, so it boots that up then you again select the channel that you want. Very odd.

I got a tv aerial installed to the living room and bedroom just so I could get rid of the sky boxes. I already had a lead running externally from the living room Sky box to the kitchen TV so used that with a splitter to have free view in the kitchen too. Quality is perfect too so I'm glad I did it now. Both aerial points are on external walls so everything is neat and hidden.

@Dougs you can ditch the now tv boxes and run now tv via the phone app and chromecast. That's what I'm doing and it seems to work fine.

Ah but the box I'm using is upstairs... No chromecast up there! On the ps3 downstairs. Then on pads etc for whilst cooking and stuff (that's my wife, I tend to listen to music).

I'm going to buy one. I've got a box already but that's a sweet deal. Maybe someone will buy the movie pass and box for 15 ;)

I've got 5 of the fucking things sat here. Keep meaning to see if I can con some poor saps into giving me a fiver for the boxes alone but keep forgetting.

@Dougs Is there anything to stop you just making a new account to use the code and then forgetting about it?

Anyone using NOW TV's fibre broadband? Curious about the upload speed and whether it's good enough to stream.

Sorry sport, just a pimp here for the Roku 3 box, normally 70 down to 54. I swear by these boxes, absolutely love them.

What are peeps doing about their movie subs? Paying 10 a month or stock piling these 25 box with voucher deals?

Stock-piling boxes generally - usually wait until they are sub 20. Next voucher runs out in Sept, so in the market for any bargains if you've spotted any....

Hmm, just trawling Amazon atm to see if any Prime Day deals were on. Best I could find was 25 for four month so 6.25 a month. Plus box to sell on I guess.

If I see a deal, I'll get it but otherwise, I'll just let it roll. They come along often enough that I don't bother to seek them out.

And I give the boxes to a charity shop as life is too short to be arsed to punt them on eBay for a fiver a pop.

I can just see the little orphans face light up when a NowTV box drops on his doorstep. Woo! Four free cinema months viewing.

    Oh.
