I'm on the look-out for a decent and reliable DVD recorder, and was hoping some of you could perhaps recommend some good models which you've tried and tested ie own, or any worthwhile deals that you've seen on the Internet. I've checked out Komplett, who have some models that sound interesting, but I'm not sure which are the best ones performance-wise.

Edit: Crap, buggered the thread title up.

    That's a bit pricey, isn't it?

I point you to NEC's RW's myself - I got a 2500A about a year and a half ago, and it's lovely. The newer models feature dual layer and 16x and so forth.

I second NEC, they make the best writers around. It wouldn't surprise me if it's a NEC player inside that fancy iomega case.

Thanks for the advice guys, I think I'll plump for an NEC then, the Iomega was a bit out of the reach of my budget.
