Registered 17 years agoTo be fair, it's the same with 95% of the content on both the Pro and X. Places like Digital foundry "oversell" the additions in a lot of cases because you have split-screen, zoom and slow-mo comparisons to really highlight any minor discrepancies.
When you're sat home with no comparison, sat 6 feet from your screen and immersed in what you're actually playing rather than scouring the screen for jaggies, we're all mostly playing the same thing.
That's not to say the Pro/X aren't better; of course they are. But it's not something that really sticks out moment-to-moment in most cases, other than you know you're playing the best versions.
And that goes the same for Pro vs. X. The reasons to pick your platforms are still more informed by user preference (controller, UI) and friends lists, etc, than getting 5% more grunt in a multiplat. title, because you simply can't see that benefit when you're only playing one version. -

Doesn’t change my point.
I wouldn’t buy into the base models at this point (though the S definitely has value as a general multimedia device if you’re not so bothered about the gaming side). -

Registered 7 years agoPretty much why I dont like football. it is the same every time. Two teams of 11, kicking the ball from one side to the other side, with unrealistic physics which can be seen by minor or non existent collisions resulting in crying players. -

Fair play to ubisoft though, a couple years ago and I didnt play any of their games really. But with R6 Siege, The Division, and Wildlands, I would solidly put them as a favourite now, and happily pre order future stuff knowing I would get a strong starter package, and if it is a bit weak in terms of longevity, it will probably still get a lot of support! -
Won't lie, The Division 2 footage from E3 has me really excited for it. Looks broadly similar but enemies are less bullet spongy, they ditched the weird supers for super-weapons instead, like a 50 cal sniper rifle and a grenade launcher(!), and skill trees that only unlock once you reach max level.
Seems like they took a lot of the criticisms to heart, addressing the endgame especially. Will be interested to see what they mean when they say they've introduced 'raids' (the ones in the first game were glorified horde modes) but so far it's got me very excited, by being similar but improving on the weaknesses of the first. -

There's also 3 free DLC packs in the first year (no idea what this means, but I'm not complaining with free and their post-release support has become exemplary) and no battle royale mode. Good. -

Good point, completely forgot about that. Only played it a couple of times but really enjoyed it too, plus it seemed to come along before PUBG really hit. Might be misremembering. -
