Thought this should have a thread of it's own really. Latest gameplay vid from E3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=DHNpfF2g7mI#t=4082s I'll wait for the demo, doesn't look wildly different to me. Slightly better animations, but still not up to FIFA's standard. All in the gameplay as ever. |

Registered 11 years agoThe game just looks sooo much better, 2013 was almost there, but this looks so much better, don't know how people can't see it!
The animations, the way they flow, look how the ball looks totally free.
The graphics look a lot brighter, they've actually modelled the unique Bayern arena tunnel! The flares and confetti are back.
I've not seen the thing that ruined 2013 for me which was the defending AI player seemingly reading your controller input, and matching your moves homing in on you, or that horrible thing where you're trapped in that vile animation where your guy is holding the defender off.
Custom camera is there, I hated wide view on 2013, I couldn't turn off the camera swing which limited my field of view, so thank G that's fixed.
The best news of all though is THE HEXAGON IS BACK! -

Registered 14 years agoLooks fantastic, the animations are definitely next gen, despite the game being current gen. There are more gameplay demos on wenb, all just as good.
Gone from meh to fuck me, day one in the space of ten minutes. -

Registered 11 years agoYes, league mode!
Great stuff, much rather have this than a rushed next gen game with half the features missing and worse gameplay. -
Sounds good. I got the last two FIFA's on PC but EA are fucking PC owners over so I think I'll go with this even if I get a console copy. -
Looking forward to this, anyone know if they are releasing an early demo like the last few years? -

Registered 16 years agoProbably get both as usual, but a lot of the stuff above just looks like broken stuff from PES 2013 that has been fixed (and yet they still haven't fixed the keepers? Seriously?) -
For the first time since ISS98 I'm in absolutely no rush whatsoever to get a new PES, think 13 will last me a fair while longer yet.
My main gripe is that headers seem unnecessarily hard to both win and direct, but I can overlook that.
Also, I wish they'd bring back the free-roam replay mode rather than the 4 set cameras, none of which are particularly good, but that's been the case for the last 5 years or so I doubt they'll go back to that

On the pacing side of things, the demo was also much slower, more realistic than the finished article last year. In fact, for me, PES 2013 v1 was better than the released product. It had more bugs, but the game was so much more realistic and enjoyable than the full game.
I hope what they're getting to play now resembles the final product. Konami have a history of quite drastically changing the game speed, AI and such between demo version and release, more than any game I've ever played. -

Registered 11 years agoVery true, I've enjoyed the demos more than the full release almost every time on PS3, they must get some really bad feedback from donks who say it's too hard and too slow or something, I hope they stick to their guns this time
Cheers for that breakdown ug, I never listen to podcasts.
Glad it's a return to a more hardcore game, I think Konami listened to feedback too much recently, probably from people who preferred FIFA, since the majority did after all recently.
Seems like they're rturning to being the more hardcore game which is a relief.

Bloody hope so. Used to love PES and while 2013 was better than anything since the PS2 era, it still felt like two different games at times. -

Registered 10 years agoIt sounds really good, but they really need to improve the Master League IMO. The last PES was better than the last FIFA I reckon, but I played a hell of a lot more of FIFA just because the career mode is actually really good. -
Just confirmed we are now able to change clubs and manage National teams in ML about bloody time! -

Registered 11 years agoOMG finally!
Hexagons, League Mode, offline co-op League Mode, V nice, although all those apart from changing clubs were in the PS2 games :/
I can't imagine this game being anything less than amzing, wd Konami, with this and GTAV who needs the nextgen consoles!?
edit: they're saying in evoweb the International Challenge is back
I love the sound of Heart, and the crowd reacting differently due to their nationality.
Surely than means Prem clubs want you to attack quickly all the time, and other countries want to see some passing and skills.
Hopefully it also means you can take the sting out of the other teams momentum by passing it around at the back when the crowd are uring your opponents on.
Maybe I'm expecting too much, I need a lie down lol
