"Learn the cover system early on. Press the Circle button to snap to cover, and the X button to leave it when desired. Almost every gun battle in the game will be fought with players utilizing this game mechanic."

That's what I've been doing so far... and it's meh! There's no fluidity. You just press off the wall and then you gotta run to the next. I'll keep at it but ergh, OK graphics and gameplay is a little fun so far so it can't be all bad.

I got to the first proper gunfight and just gave up... Clunky as fuck to the point of being frustrating and I just couldn't be bolloxed any more.
Despite that, it's on my list of shame, as I loved everything about it apart from the actual gameplay

Completed it three times and it's my only platinum. Fair to say I liked it more than most.

The cover system isn't really intuitive given that's 99% of the gameplay.

As for the platinum I gave up. The last few trophies I needed were to inspect all items, audio files and kill with every gun. Just couldn't be arsed, even with a YouTube guide just felt counter productive. More games should have a collectibles checklist. It's not as if you can explore corridors anyway.

Picked this up for £12 please say it gets better... chapter 3 I played about 10mins vs 40 mins watching it.... I can't decide if its a game or a movie with some game parts.

I liked it but bought it cheap and knew what I was getting. Very beautiful, interesting story, well acted, not a great deal of gameplay to it though, plat was very easy with a guide.

Yeah, it's pretty bollocks all in all. I don't really have any positives about the story either tbh. Literally nothing happens.

I enjoyed the gun Play a lot. I know there is too much Video and not enough fun Play, the weapons felt heavy and fun to use.

I agree with many opinions about what is do dislike about this game, but the Shooting is delivered very well, no doubt about that.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed it for what it was. The game does open out a bit as you get further into the game and you get some cooler weapons.

It's pretty short and has some good set pieces. I'd say it's good value at £12

Yeah, I've recently finished it and I think for around a tenner it's a decent enough game. The story isn't great but the world itself is interesting; I think it's a shame Ready at Dawn haven't returned to the series as given another crack at it I think they could make something really good.

@Hairy-Gorilla it's just the same. Nothing improves, the gameplay, gun play, story, it's just samey all the way through. Really, you'll finish the game and just be like ".. so..". The graphics aren't even top notch. No replay value.

Do a cex, Game trade in mission. Count your losses, move on. It happens to all of us.

For their first stab at a AAA console game I thought it was pretty good. It looked good and played well, was just a bit OTT on the cut-scenes and a little short in gameplay, both of which could be easily rectified in a sequel given the chance.

I got this bundled with my PS4 and thought it was fun enough as a freebie. Wouldn't have liked to have preordered it though.

"Gears of ye~olde London"...I really enjoyed it, stunning to look at and when you actually played I thought it was great, boss fights aside of course.

I played it through a year or so ago and I can barely remember anything about it. Looked nice, I remember that. But for the amount of time you spend watching cutscenes, the story is crap and the gameplay is forgettable.

All felt like a bit of a waste tbh.

Clicked on link, redirected me to U.K. Store where it's still at a bum-raping £35.

Need to do that fake US account thing again.
