December release wouldn't surprise me, would remind me of the Dreamcast situation.

In America isn't 'Holiday' season Thanksgiving? Or does it just mean the christmas period?
It means the time from Thanksgiving through Christmas and New year.

Or as we call it, December.

It does have a LAN Port, but I've been assured by a technical expert on Eurogamer that this port is completely incompatible with everything ever, especially for any sort of networking at all. It's literally of no use to anyone.

xBots so determined to find something wrong with the PS4, they make up that there isn't an Ethernet Port.

Lol, it's there, end of story.

October seems far too early. Also "Holiday 2013" suggests December. The only thing I can think of that comes close to a holiday in November isRemembrance Day
Its merkin "Holiday", Thanksgiving is 28 November this year, big time for retail, Black Monday etc.
    Black Friday.

The 'lack' of Ethernet port joke is almost as funny as paying 60 for a wireless adapter for the launch 360.

Oh wait, no it isn't as that joke was real. And on me.

In a serious note, I remember the slides from the reveals and it seems to suggest the x1's lan port has a higher speed rating the the PS4. I don't really know what I'm talking about so someone, please, shoot me down in flames.

    Exactly.
    Exactly what?

    Exactly x1.

I do hope they bundle a normal sized controller too, rather than them stupid double-sized jobs they had at E3.

Ha, I've moved house and my wifi router is like a mile away from my Xbox, which means my 360 is now no longer connected to Live (hardly missing much), but fuck me is it annoying when everything else I bloody own has Wifi.

The fucking bathroom scales have wifi.

Definitely gonna need gigabit ethernet for that amount of data transfer.
