At least he's not registered, pimped his game, and then left never to return. He's made an effort to engage with the community in this thread. Don't like it? Don't read it. |

Registered 8 years agoHi, @BudBrain. Well, actually, it's exacly what i was doing: searching android foruns on the internet and "copying and pasting" the same text. But i wasn't seeing it as a "bad" thing since the message is really the same and it's the only way i know to promote the app when i cannot pay for advertising. But i have all foruns that i've post registered in my note, doing what i can to reply all feedbacks.
For example, the guy from this forum http://brasildroid.com.br/desenvolvimento-de-aplicacoes-jogos/18947-app-free-game-ovni.html
is the person who gave me 5 stars ... just to prove, i marked myself with 5 star, now it has TWO 5 stars
...
By the way, why haven't you commented anything about this post, for example -> http://www.eurogamer.net/forum/thread/253690 that was just below my and this guy has also just one comment ? (@olgavshivtseva, sorry involving you ^_^)
But please don't think i'm ignoring you advise, on the contrary, i really appreciate it. If you have other suggestions that help me to advertise the game in a better way, please let me know !
Thank you all again !!!

Don't years count for anything?
I just played around with the app a bit.
Maybe mention on the menu screen that people need to double-tap to select.
If I hadn't read it here I might've been stumped for a bit.
The text at the end of a mission stays on for too long. Especially for the tutorials. Maybe there's more information to process at later stages about points and scores and combos or whatnot but for level 1 and 2, it's clear with a fraction of a second that I'm done and I wanted to move on but was stuck watching this end of mission screen for what seemed like an eternity (and which probably was 2 or 3 seconds but still).
There's also a bit too much use of the vibration function to my liking.
My phone was on silet +vibration on. When I selected to start mission 1, I thought there was an incoming sms because the phone vibrated.
When it kept vibrating as I interacted with your game I realised it was the game. No need for it imo.
Good first effort. Hope that's useful feedback. -
@BudBrain
No, my 'come back tomorrow' was not patronising, it was intended as advice as, to me, you were either in a bad mood and not able to be anything other than confrontational last night, and needed the time to call off for whatever reason, or you're just a confrontational person. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.
If it was selling watches then yes, maybe, possibly, it may get deleted. Because this forum is about games. But as a developer of a game, albeit an indie one, is trying to engage with people about their game, or at the very least pimping their wares, it's relevant to the forum which is about videogames. And it's up to mods what gets deleted. EG has never, and I don't think would ever, delete a thread from any developer, of any size, as long as they were honest about their intentions.
His thread was honest, as far removed from 'come looky looky, we have plenty gold plenty cheap' approaches of gold merchants or similar trainer sellers as you could get in my eyes.
In the past 24 hours you've gone on about giving useful feedback, but you don't appear to be able to take it. Most in this thread have called you up on your post, but you still see nothing wrong with your attitude. All At least his one post (which has turned out to be his 'first' post) was relevant to the discussion on this site, and I'd rather encourage other indie developers to engage with the community, rather than pick up sticks and demand them to post less like a spammer. -

Jeez - still going! Getting bored now, I've made my points (original comment was good advice/post count doesn't mean you have authority) and I'm sticking to them.
Go outside and get some fresh air, it's lovely out. -

You've done enough over the past 24 hours to join the ignore queue. I can't see any conversation with you, on anything, ever being enjoyable. -

Registered 8 years ago@Salaman about vibration function and end of a mission screen that stays a long time, particularly i would not have noticed if you had not warned me ... i'll try to add option to enable/disable vibration as well as sound/music.
About the end of a mission screen, how about after 2 seconds, allow user to back to main screen touching on screen

@ono-leo Hi ono
Not what I think matters, and I don't pretend to speak for the whole site, but just so you're clear on what I'm saying, I don't think you did anything wrong. I think you were honest about your intentions and have continued to engage.
Personally speaking, I'd like more developers, regardless of size (Indie right up to EA level) to engage more with the community. We have MarkSI who's very good at it (Football Manager developer) and a couple of others, but most are absent or post pretending to be 'impartial'.
I really don't think this thread needed to go the way it did after your first post, and I'm glad you're getting the feedback about your game now. I'll add mine at the weekend when I've had chance to play it. -

Yes, it would be nice more developer participating along with players, think would benefit all of us.
Well, when i have some more progress, i'll back here again.
Ah, @kentmonkey, @OptimusPube, @YenRug, i'm a little relieved now, thanks.gif)
ps.: sorry for my english, it's not my native language.

Not had chance to reply until now. I've only played a little while after the patch, all is going well but. 1/5 of my scren is a mess for some reason. If I knew how to post a screen I would. Can't really explain. -

Can you tell me which device you are using ? I'll try to find someone with the same device and make some tests ... Thanks again

Hi all !
Hi @Salaman, it's been a while since my last post, so sorry. As i have a regular job, i could not reply quickly.
Following your suggestion, i've just updated the game and now, in the "Mission complete/failed!" screen, it's possible touch on screen to proceed instead of waiting. But could not implement the option to enable/disable vibration, sound and music yet ^_^' ...
Some users reported me that the game is boring the way it is, so from mission 9 i tried to change the game format implementing score, shield bar, wave of enemies and the ufo's are shooting now ... hope it became the game more enjoyable
...
Well, thanks again !!!
