Registered 16 years agoBlofeld will be his older brother, played by every previous Bond at the same time. It'll randomly switch every time the camera cuts away, and no-one will draw attention to it. -

At least the tone seems to be consistent with the other films. The way Skyfall ended I thought it may have gone back a bit towards the Roger Moore style films. A bit lighter and tongue-in-cheek. Doesn't look as though this is the case.
Much as I'd love to see the gadgets etc. back, it won't happen with Craig methinks. I think the tone has been perfect for Craig, so it doesn't really bother me.

Registered 8 years agoYeah I've loved the tone for the Craig films but I really worried about the return to status quo that Mendes ended on with Skyfall because it left the series open to falling back on tired bullshit.
I mean, Komodo Dragons? Really?
A rapey bathroom scene? Really?
A completely inexplicable action sequence in the London underground for reasons that don't make sense? Okay, well, I'm actually okay with that one. -

Registered 16 years agoIt's obvious, really. Bond IS Blofeld. Waltz's character trained him to be, but didn't count on him using those skills to be a super spy.
The clues are there. B for both names. Well, a clue. Coincidence? I think not. -

Sam is defo not going to direct the next Bond. Plus, theme song recorded.
Note "probably".
Edit: I'm not having a pop btw !.gif)

So you DID watch this one then.
I'm swearing off trailers after the Terminator one. This one will probably reveal that M is really Blofeld and he sponsored Hates Judi Dench Man. -

Car chase + gadgets + THAT theme tune = AWESOME! -

Registered 14 years agoGadgets are good but I haven't missed them. Used to irritate me that everything he was given would always prove vital at some point.
Skyfall - Bond gets given gun that only recognises his palm print.
Hmmmm I wonder if someone will try to use that against him at some point?
Would be good to see him get given some stuff that just gets forgotten about.

Registered 17 years agoBlergh, new trailer looks predictably awful.
Wish they'd stop with all this "gritty" bullshit and get back to the source - the original novels are a hundred times better than any of the recent films. -

What's the point of having fancy gadgets in a movie if they never get used? I get that some of the more recent gadgets have been pretty gimmickey and useless, but they're there to be used.

Registered 17 years agoIn terms of the whole look of it, I assume they've got the same cinematographer as Skyfall because in terms of the way it looks, it just looks exactly like Skyfall.
I've been reading some complaints elsewhere as to why Bond doesn't do spy stuff. Like try and steal a set of important documents.

Registered 14 years agoFrom what I've seen in the trailer it seems quite recycled.
The massive organisation that they didn't even know existed (QOS)
Bond wanting Q to make him disappear (Skyfall)
Are the two I can recall. -

It's pretty much all the same people from Skyfall - same Director, cast, crew, etc.

But to be honest, why wouldn't it be?. Skyfall did over £1 Billion at the box office and, even though I personally didn't think it was as good as Casino Royale, it was a step in the right direction.
As long as Spectre is more like Skyfall than Quantum of Solace then I doubt anyone will give a shit! -

Registered 17 years agoI wasn't complaining. I'm really looking forward to it.
Nice to see the gadgets back and hopefully it'll be a bit more lighthearted (but not too much).
Think Dave Bautista and Léa Seydoux will be great too.
Also, Bond in white tux. Not seen that for a very long time (Roger Moore days?) -

Registered 15 years agoIt definitely gave me an 'old skool Bond' vibe in places, without the horrible cheese and crassness.
Just watched A View to a Kill this morning, fuck me that was awful. Anything not like that and I'm in! -

Registered 16 years agoI hope there's a tad more action than Skyfall, what was there was pretty tasty, but there wasn't a lot.
It kinda pisses me off that that Craig and Co still haven't bettered Casino Royale. -
I love Casino Royale and on merit it's probably the best bond ever. They still haven't come anywhere near to eclipsing it. Skyfall is good but it's not a 'bond movie' as such, it's more of a character drama about a man who thinks he's James Bond. Bond is Bond and i didn't think he really needed all the back story they gave him in Skyfall.
