@Tonka I've tried it for some time and found that for me it's completely useless. I understand that many like it, and it's great to have the option, but again, it's not great if you're shoved in your face what you don't want at all. Edited by DrStrangelove at 15:19:17 15-07-2016 |

Registered 18 years agoSo - OnePlus 3: anyone have it?
My main doubt is regarding size - I have a (now smashed) Galaxy S4 and that seems like a very good size. I usually wear jeans (not skinny ones, mind) - is it possible to fit a OP3 in the pockets? -

Registered 6 years agoI'm picking mine up later, it's currently sat at Mount Pleasant sorting office so it should make it's way out to me soon, so I'll let you know!
My colleague who has one waxed lyrical about it, and having had a one plus one I would have had no issues recommending that one.
I never had an issue with the size for my OPO, and I wear slim fit jeans! Only thing I would say is a phone that size is a headphone killer in the jeans pocket. -

Registered 15 years agoThe One Plus phones worth considering then? I've been a bit blind to mobile tech for years as it just goes through at a rapid pace with development. -

Registered 16 years agoI know quite a few people who had the first one and were very impressed.
The second one, less so as it missed out on a few things that were becoming standard but MK.3 seems to have come out guns blazing. -

Spec/price-wise they're pretty much in a league of their own, even if the flagships from Samsung, HTC probably edge them as a whole (at double the price, mind).

Registered 6 years ago@damagedinc I find the wire by the jack gives out a hell of a lot quicker if I've been using the phone for music while in my pocket, as the size of it is pushing the jack against the top of my pocket all the time.
Though I cycle a lot so that's probably making that action a lot more pronounced. -

Registered 15 years agoHmm, I'll have to have a gander. Assumedly no network has picked them up, so it's a case of buying the phone outright? -

Aren't you interested in hearing if there is traffic coming up behind you?
I don't think I would feel safe cycling and listening to music. Plus my phone would likely jump out of my pocket...! -

I don't know, I think that might be an edge case.
My mate has the s6 edge feels perfect in the hand. A case is essential though.

Registered 6 years ago@Alastair My journey is mostly through parks and tracks so traffic not much of an issue, plus I don't listen to it very loud so I can still hear traffic on the road for the short while I'm on it.
Though you're probably right. I mentioned this to my cycle courier borther once and he looked shocked...given his general approach to road traffic laws I was quite surprised! -

Registered 20 years agoI am worried enough by the traffic that I *can* hear.
Wouldn't fancy being surprised from behind because I was listening to music. Oooh, Matron! -

Registered 16 years agoI've got a Nexus 4 16GB and was tempted by a Nexus 5 awhile ago for £180 from Argos but I can't justify that amount when the phone I've got works.
Anyway I've now been offered an LG G2 32GB for £50.
Excellent condition and I believe 4G? Any reason I shouldn't get the LG G2? -
So my Moto X Play has had an annoying fault with the MicroSD card randomly disconnecting for a while now. Finally got fed up with it today and thankfully Amazon have given me a full refund. (as much as I think they're a bunch of cunts at times, you really can't fault that customer service!)
Might as well spend a bit more this time, so any ideas about replacements in the £300-£350 price bracket? I've already ordered the OnePlus 3, but the estimated delivery time is kind of taking the piss, so I'm tempted to cancel that and turn elsewhere...
Android only
5.5" is an ideal screen size - definitely no bigger
I'd prefer a decent wedge of internal storage, but one with an SD slot will do
I didn't particularly like the curvy back of the Moto X Play, so something a bit sleeker would do.
Camera quality is definitely a big plus...
Specs wise anything equal to or better than the Moto X Play would be a winner really. -
The OnePlus 3 delivery estimates are a little pessimistic, I ordered one last Friday and it's turning up tomorrow (via DPD, so I believe them) -
Cool... We can be phone bros! -
NO PHONE STUFF -

I'm not into that dual nano stuff anyway! -
One week after ordering and it's still no closer to shipping...
Same story across the globe at the moment (far off estimate = reality) if their forum is anything to go by.
THANKS FOR NOTHING, PES!
At least tell me that it's worth waiting for... -
Well, mine came last Friday as expected and it's great and Dash charging is better than Jesus
