Looks like you can buy the 3T directly from their website.

The 3T will be available to buy from the Oneplus site from the 28th in the UK and 22nd in the US. They're not taking pre-orders though, which means it will probably be out of stock a few minutes after the buy button goes live...
  • Deleted user 16 November 2016 15:10:09
Oh well I'll try my luck on the 28th and if I miss out I'll probably just get a pixel.

Been having a read up on various Chinese brands today. The mi5s seems to get great reviews. Sorely tempted.
  • Deleted user 16 November 2016 22:28:27
Disappointed the 3T is £400. They are now creeping up to other high end phone prices. Of course it's still a saving but after looking a reviews for various phones I've decided to order this to try out.

If I like it I'll probably just hand my iPhone to the wife or sell it. We shall see.

Watch out if you are on O2 or Giffgaff, Tesco. As you won't get 4G, I forget the network details but you'll only get 3G.

Fine on the other networks I believe.

I would nab one myself but I am addicted to dash charging on the oneplus.

I am on giffgaff and heard about the 4G. No biggie for me. I rarely use 4G as it is anyway.

The dash charge is very cool. I just can't find the oneplus 3 for a decent price and I don't fancy paying £400 for the new one.

Which I realise that sounds utterly moronic considering I paid £700 for the iphone7. Wtf is wrong with me :/

Read quite a lot of positive press regarding Xiaomi hardware, but their software always seems to get a mixed response. The good news is you can always replace their Android skin with the Google Now launcher if you're after a more 'stock Android' experience. Interested in how you get on with it, for sure!
  • Deleted user 16 November 2016 23:00:25
Yeah I will have to look at what options I have software wise. Ultimately I've picked this over the oneplus 3 due to the screen size. I've had 5.5 screens before and just thought they were a tad too big so 5.15 is better for me.

What prices are you seeing for the oneplus three? And what were you expecting?
I dropped my 2y/o HTC One M8 again last night and got a big old screen crack plus a black spot of knackered LCD so I am going to do something about a new phone today...
Oneplus three and a sim only contract with BT mobile likely to be my preferred option, unless I can wring a super deal from Vodafone retention team....

Well I thought it retailed at £329 and it's OOS on the website and everywhere else I've seen seem to list it as £400+

Not ordered yet. I have reservations about these sites like gearbest, geekbuying etc.

Have ordered from eGlobalCentral for £345.
Sincerely hope I don't get scammed!!!

Also managed to squeeze Vodafone for a sim only deal at £10.80/month for 4Gb data and their 500Mb EU roaming.

Do you ever get worthwhile deals on newish phones in the January sales? I’m thinking of getting the Google Pixel XL but I want to stay on O2 so looks like I will have no choice but to get it via Carphone Warehouse as O2 will not be selling it direct.

Well after much thought and checking out reviews and then retailers for this I've just ordered the xiaomi mi5s from top one digital on Aliexpress (which seems to get rave reviews from happy customers on Reddit.

    64gb version which was £276

Should be a couple of weeks delivery. Actually quite hyped to get it and see what it's like.

Tempted by the Moto g4 plus, (oneplus3 is out of my price range at the minute).

I saw a story of the inquirer about some chinese phones that send messages back to china! (also certain BLU phones where with a certain older OTA updater)

They have stopped making the original Oneplus3 now it's only the newer version Oneplus 3T.

Hard to justify the 70 quid extra, slightly bigger battery, new front camera and new processor.

Feels like they underestimated the demand and decided to raise the price, made some changes and bumped it to £400.
  • Deleted user 20 November 2016 20:07:20
Wow, sure sounds like it. Because screen was just about largest before it gets pocket unfriendly, battery life is great and processor seems (like the whole spec TBH) more than adequate in the 3

Got my Xiaomi mi5 S today.

First impressions build quality wise are very impressive. Feels just as premium if not more premium then advices twice it's cost.

Software wise I had a few niggles. It came with a global rom installed so I've done some tweaks, installed nova launcher and swift key keyboard and it's just like stock android now. Screen is really vibrant and performance is really slick.

Again this is only a couple of hours impressions so will see how i get on. I've applied to get the bootloader unlocked and then I'll probably bang the eu rom on.

For £279 I'm very very happy with it.

Still wrapping my head around the quality of this phone. For the price it's easily the best handset I've owned. It's hard to believe I paid more than double for the iPhone 7 and the Galaxy edge

I'm quite pleased with my Oneplus 3.
    😊

Flashed the latest eu rom on my mi5s earlier. It feels far more slicker and more how it should be. Cracking device.

@addyb Are you still happy with it? It looks great for the money.

I'm interested in a new phone so I'd like some recommendations please. I liked OnePlus but now they've only got the 3T at £400 I'm not sure they're worth it, although maybe someone will convince me they are. If I'm prepared to pay £400 for that I could be tempted into the flagship £500 area though. If I can get something for less that's almost as good I'd be happy.

I've currently got a two year old Moto G which is getting very slow. I like the size of the Moto at around a 4" screen but most companies are going big now unless I have something like an iPhone SE. I want SIM free and I'm avoiding Windows because their lack of apps annoyed me after trying them for a few years.

Had the Oneplus and lost it, replaced it with a Galaxy 7.

If I had to choose between the two I would probably opt for the S7.

The Oneplus is an excellent phone but holy shit is it delicate. Screen cracked on mine from a couch to floor fall distance.

If you are willing to risk a wait/issues the resellers like OneDigital or MobiCity will charge just over £400.

Or pick up the Oneplus 3 (Not the current Oneplus 3T) from the same places.

The difference between them is minimal!

My trusty 2nd gen Moto X died during the holidays. I'm on a LG Bello 2 at the moment. It's very shit but still rather surprising what it can do for so little money.

Biggest downside is the paltry 8GB storage that made me choose between Pokemon GO and my bank app. Pikachu won.

Buuuut. My plan was toget a Google Pixel but seeing as
    a) They're not available in Sweden and
    b) they cost a small fortune I'm starting to look around for alternatives

I very much liked my Moto X but the Z doesn't do it for me. I really don't like Samsungs UI additions either. What phones are even on Nougat?
  • Deleted user 3 January 2017 11:51:09
    @DukeSilver

Yeah it's the best phone I've ever bought for the money and I've had a LOT of phones over the years. I updated it with a global rom last night. Can't tell much (if any) difference from the EU rom I had previous but overall the phone is great.

The only issue I've had is notifications being intermittent (WhatsApp & SMS) but a quick Google and a few tweaks in the settings and it seems to be resolved.

If Cyanogenmod arrives I'll stick that on it.

So yep very happy with it.
