no apologies for bumping long dead thread ... because last night ... on the Daily ... I finally ... DID IT !!! first trophy in 2013. Speedlunky xmas day in 2016. And last night, got the trophies up to 100% (sadly no plat!) , with 'Seen It All', 'The Entire Gang' and 'To Hell And Back' (all of which are ultra rare, less than 1% of PS Spelunky players have them) I think, I am officially ready for Spelunky 2 now ! |

must say, I think its my greatest (and favourite) gaming achievement
A game beat, by learning how to play it and improving my skills, rather than brute force, player guides etc (not saying I didn't look up some secrets ...) -

Registered 18 years agoNot that surprised given the complete absence of info for ages. It’s August already, the release date was still a vague 2019, and unless I missed it, didn’t get any mention or showing at various events in the last few months where you’d expect some kind of showing.
I don’t mind if it makes the game better, and I’m still amazed we’re getting an actual sequel. -

Registered 13 years agohey, happy Spelember everyone ... its coming .... are you ready? day 1 for me, I hope its not full price (40/50 quid) , I would pay it and get value from it, but I would also know waiting a few months would probably be half price ... hopefully 20 quid ... ah, who am I kidding, I won't even look at the price...
will miss it on Vita , maybe remote play it ... my kids are ready to multi-play it with me ... -

Registered 17 years agoIf anything it looks like it will be even more challenging than the first game. It does seem a bit too chaotic and perhaps ambitious from the videos I've seen, but I've no doubt that it will have been worth the wait.
I reckon pricing-wise it should be no more than £20. -

I have literally never made it past the Mines. Despite lots of trying. I’m not completely shit at platforming (I completed Hollow Knight earlier this year) but Spelunky was just too damn hard.
I expect I’ll end up buying the sequel all the same though.
