I have literally never made it past the Mines. Despite lots of trying. I’m not completely shit at platforming (I completed Hollow Knight earlier this year) but Spelunky was just too damn hard. I expect I’ll end up buying the sequel all the same though. |

no offence , but I can't imagine how someone can't get past the mines ... the controls are perfect, its only 4 levels, the important thing is to practice and not give up, it gets easier as you learn to play it ... maybe go slow, use ropes and bombs ... you can run through spikes (just don't fall on them) , avoid rather than fight enemies, learn the risk/reward and just pick up easy money, buy items (which makes it easier, once you learn how they behave)
its really worth continuing with ... maybe do the daily challenge each day , then its not a huge time committment, but you play regularly and your memory muscle will take over
