Got a bottle and a half of vodka, some Bombay gin. That's it. probably left over from a new years eve dinner we had 2 years ago. We never drink at home unless people are round really.

HOLY SHIT! I had a sip of that Stroh 80. Never touching it again. It made me gag, I've drunk a lot of rums in my time, Stroh tastes and smells like pure evil. IT smells and tastes like paint stripper. WTF?

I haven't tried it in a mixer but I think that's the way to go. It's not a drink to quaff neat, it's just an alcoholic booster for cocktails, you know... if you want to get fucked up quickly. I had half a shot of it and I'm quite unwell and more than a little tipsy. FROM HALF A SHOT o_O

@Jazzy_Geoff I really should have listened. The shop I bought it from even tried to discourage me from buying it. :D telling me shit like the workers at the factory where it's made go blind and junk. :D

A bottle of Russian Standard vodka.

I still have some absinthe kicking around, drinking that neat sounds quite similar to the stuff you drank. Saying that, the buzz from it almost makes the liver rot almost worth it, not sure if the Stroh is quite the same.

    I don't have any. 2 reasons.

    1. I will buy a decent bottle of single malt about twice a year and its gone within less than a week.

    2. Something about regularly drinking spirits at home just seems wrong.

Just got back from SA, I've got a bottle of Mampeor. This shit is so badass it's wrapped in actual barbedwire. I also picked up a bottle of 80% stroh rum. I am not long for this world.

    That stuff is bloody lovely.

I've just got a bottle of Cragganmore single malt, and a cheap bottle of Croatian vodka atm.

A few single malt's - say NO to blends.

Whoever says they all taste the same either has wrecked taste buds or isn't adding that all important bit of water to unlock it.

Gin, 2 or 3 vodka, whisky, coconut schnapps, 2 different grappa, white rum, brown rum, a bottle of something distilled as part of a beer brewing process (or something similar ... tastes like grappa really) and some other miscellaneous stuff that never gets drunk.

Got half a bottle of Courvoisier to polish q off tonight accompanied by Diablo 3 and if I'm feeling really cheeky I've got a bottle of Havana club to crack open.

Nah, late twenties. I love my single malt, but my taste buds just mustn't be that acute as I don't taste all the hints of stuff in it. I can drink them and say, yeh that tastes a bit different but afterwards I'd never be able to say why it's different, unless it's from Islay. I still enjoy them and have favourites (Talisker, Oban) but I feel I am missing out as there just doesn't seem that much difference between them. Maybe it's because my nose is fucked and most of taste comes from smell?
