I remember it well because my first EG post was asking where I could get a 360 on launch!
It's a play on gremlins 2, deal with it.
Whose pre-ordered an Xbox One for launch day or who intends to buy one after launch when the next container shipments arrive?
It's like Xbox 360 time all over, I remember playing Call of Duty and PGR at launch. Remember the days of literally everyone buying the arcade games for something new to play on the console. Exciting times. New console!!!
Won't be getting a next gen console unfortunately. I'd love to have a play but it would just sit unused under the telly, and I have to spend my money a bit more wisely these days.
Ah to be 23 again -

Registered 13 years agoI'm knocking on 40 and have Day one & BF4 ordered. Probably get CoD for the first time in a while and maybe Watchdogs and Ryse if they review well too.
Titanfall and the possiblity of Crackdown 3 broke my resolve in the end. I may regret the lack of Planetside2 & Warthunder by ruling out the PS4 for now.... unless I eventually treat my son to one a few years down the line.
I have never ever bought any computer or console at launch before, but obviously have more money than sense these days.

Registered 8 years agoI've got both consoles on pre order. Had the PS4 down first despite being a long time xbox fan - specifically for Forza in recent years. I really want to be a one console guy this gen despite owning both every gen since the SNES.
Unlike the internet, my reason for PS4 was primarily the graphics whore in me. I really don't care what policies MS had up their sleeves at E3 - honestly I wanted digital only this gen. I'm digital only on my Vita, iPad, and iPhone/Android already. I rarely trade or buy used games. The original E3 message was a selling point for me as was Forza at launch. The only thing holding me back is a fear that the PS4s extra GPU oomph is going to make the grass greener.
However, I've been edging ever closer to the XB1. I like the look of Titanfall and have no intention of buying a PC to play it. I prefer Forza to GT. I'm not a huge Killzone fan. I like but don't love the infamous series. I did love The Last of Us. Bottom line, specs ignored, XB has the games I want to play. If Forza were not a launch title I'd be buying the PS4 without second thought though.
So. I'm in a dilemma that probably won't resolve itself until November. For £57 extra via shopto give or take - you get FIFA plus Kinect vs PS4 bundle. That's really not a bad deal surely.
For the record. Pre Orders...
PS4, Watchdogs, Battlefield, Killzone - Shopto Bundle - £493 + 12 months PSN - £540
XB1, Watchdogs, Battlefield, Forza, FIFA, 12 months Gold - £597

Registered 10 years agoGot a Day One edition reserved but I'm still not sure really - I've got a big backlog of games currently and all the games I'm most looking forward to this year are current gen or cross-gen.
Having said that I love the hype of a launch console, and there's a lot of games that look good early next year and it would be nice to have the cost of buying the console out of the way.
Also have a PS4 on pre-order but I missed the guaranteed launch cutoff by a few days and I don't think I want one for a few years anyway. -

Approaching 37 here. Just spent another £40 on msp today to put my xbl credit up to £260. Great getting points cheap to fund going all digital. Potentially lethal for me though as purchases are just a button press away so have to try and restrain myself from impulsive buys.
Definite purchases are dead rising 3 and forza 5. -

@dunny
Well I say cheap. I actually mean cheaper then the rrp. Basically just putting adverts on hotukdeals. Ive managed to bag a few 4200 msp for £25-£26. These convert to just over £36 credit so basically getting a tenner extra on each one.
So far ive spent about £170 on points and have just under £260 credit. -

For the record. Pre Orders...
PS4, Watchdogs, Battlefield, Killzone - Shopto Bundle - £493 + 12 months PSN - £540
Edit:
And a load of stuff for your Vita too it would seem. Be crazy not to take advantage of the 2 system link up and all those goodies you'll get for PSN+.

Registered 8 years agoAgreed. The thing leaving me on the fence is Forza. PS I already have PS+ and all the vita goodies. just a coincidence that my sub us due fir renewal in Nov.
Edited by GD71 at 23:23:31 01-09-2013 -
Mine is due up this week and I'm not sure if I'm gonna renew it. Most of the games I've had of it I've completed or got bored of and after November or when we get the xbone I can't see me using my ps3 for a long while.
