I would love to know how different the world would have been if we could go back in time and sink the Mayflower.

The natives would probably end up still getting shafted by some other group. -

Registered 15 years agoThe thread title is rather confusing as I was expecting a native America India crowned as Miss USA. I’m very surprised by the conservative reaction from the American public; you would expect a barrage of racial abuse. -

Registered 15 years agoAre some whited being ignorant or are other people just as bad?
Isn't the US kinda leaning towards being mostly South American, African etc. with whites being the minority now.
American Indian women you see in the odd TV or film are stunning. I wonder if they are quite rare. -

Registered 14 years agoIsn't saying that twitter brands someone a terrorist the same equivalent of saying humanity brands her a terrorist? Neither is exactly the case. -
I like how it's "twitter brands her a terrorist" as if it's some gestalt entity wandering around spewing singular opinions. -

72% is higher than I would have thought, -
I read somewhere that South American populace are growing fast, that they are underpinning the economy to an increasingly large degree. -
Look at me and cubby, thinking similar things. I bet he's also got his legs crossed like I have. -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_ethnicity_in_the_United_Stateswiki says:White: those having origins in any of the original peoples of Europe, the Middle East, or North Africa.

Registered 10 years agoSurely calling her 'Indian-American' doesn't help matters? She's just plain American, with a cultural background that differs to others that live in her country. How many times to you see people referred to as Scottish-American or Irish-American or German-American, for example? -
It's a cultural byproduct of the African american empowerment drive. As a demographic I think they wanted to embrace their heritage.
