Making so much money these days, not even from just heisting, everything seems to be paying out very nicely now and dailies/weeklies are easy money, decided to spend the best part of 2 million on a Savage. It really is rather groovy, best not to hit buildings with it though.

@Whizzo I've just got back into it and will only be playing with 1 other teammate, any tips for wracking up the cash?

Everything seems to be paying well these days. Just generally playing the game, ticking off your daily objectives, doing missions and flogging cars. You should clear about $100,000 in an evening's play. You can make that by doing all your dailies, flogging a Baller and maybe three or four decent missions.

Do your dailies, some of which will require some help but some don't, team deathmatch and others can be done with 2 people no trouble. If you get a rally do "At the races" with a friend and that's over and done with in no time.

Lots of missions pay out a lot of cash these days and can be gone through fairly quickly when you know what you're doing. Missions that paid fuck all from Simeon/Gerald before give a decent amount of cash and stuff from Martin/Lester/Trevor are very profitable too.

Even stuff like captures two people can do by themselves and losing can sometimes give you 5K for not a lot of effort.

Another thing to consider is the flight school missions pay nicely too.

Defender is a good mission if you have it on your list. It's fairly short, loads of fun (Buzzards for everyone!) and pays about $20k.

Extradition, too, easy fun in a Hydra / Buzzard / Savage (or combination!) and also pays high teens, IIRC.

Trash Talk - same. This is one of my favourite missions as it's perfectly soloable with or without expensive miltary hardware and a nice balance of vehicular and on-foot play.

Rooftop Rumble has been nerfed into mediocrity now. Pays low teens and it's rock hard with cheap head-shotting enemies.

I'll stick with the Los Santos Connection, especially as it's in the job menu now.

Spawn a Savage, collect all the coke, and it's a good $28k solo.

Currently on Day 23/28 for my half-million bonus, roll on Thursday, and I think that'll be my final task before putting it away for a while.

GTA Online finally leaves the old generation limitations behind.

Oh my god there is soooooo much waiting and loading in this.

The world is so absorbing but it's so difficult to like in its current guise.

Can't we please have more single player content?!

Played this for a bit, to get a sense of what it's about.

My impressions are; it's the standard GTA sandbox, just with the option of playing with and/or against other people for certain random activities (jobs).

There's no over-arching story or MMO-style 'persistence' to the world or anything, other than levelling up your character and buying new toys.

    Sound about right?

Aye, that's about it. There's a severe lack of ambient activities. Everything seems to dump you in a lobby where you will wait around for an age until the host decides to leave.

Heists and the new Lowrider stuff seemingly can't be played in singleplayer and trying to actually play with others is an insurmountable task most of the time.

They're still a ways off managing a compelling multiplayer experience although the potential is obvious.

What pisses me off is that it seems like GTAOnline is hindering other singleplayer based DLC or any other games as nothing this gen has currently been announced to my knowledge.

Yeah. It was all a bit compartmented. It seems fun for a casual romp here and there, but probably won't be enter consistent rotation for me.

I really want to love this. I have limited gaming time and i feel if i have an hour to play in reality I'm playing for about 15 minutes as i wait to join games and peoples characters are killed off really quickly and we have to restart missions

I never got into online either, I had more fun exploring the map in single player without all the online stuff slowing down the pace as you waited for loading and so on.

It's a shame they have focused entirely on expanding and updating online without bringing any of those features into the single player game.

Chaps, has anyone figured out how to create patties? Started playing with a friend and it seems the biggest hassle in the world to actually play a coop mission. Spend most of our time in menus. Is it still this bad?

Also, can you no longer sell your old property to buy a bigger one?

Depends on whether it's beef or pork you're using.....

Ahem. Best way to keep a group together is for someone to host a friend/invite only 'world', and then you can easily invite the others. Typically dumps you back together post-mission thereafter.

Yes, it probably is still that bad regarding menus, and I think you could trade-in when actually buying a property. Certainly, you'd have to buying past the limit (three in the past, so fourth would force sale).

I've just bought this again on ps4 (previously finishes it on ps3) I received 3.5 million dollars for online. I've not dived online yet.  Anything essential I should be spending some of this on at the start or is it all locked down anyway?

Some weapons from Ammunation for a start. An armoured Karuma is a useful car (once you've done the first 2 person heist). A high end apartment to start heists from is useful. That should probably take about half your money in total.

    Cheers mate. I'll take note.
