I've just been in contact with Amazon. Seems DPD hasn't bothered updating their system. The Amazon fella said the delivery window was between 7am and 7:30pm.

I'm beginning to think I'm right about my suspicions, they have so much to deal with they've not bothered updating their system as that way they can't be held responsible.

I'm giving them till 5:30 before I start harassing the DPD depot.

Bloody annoying!

Any else actually got their delivery from Amazon via DPD?

According to page 17 of this thread, it's being reporting there's a logistics problem at the DPD depot in Manchester! Mine says:

"28 Nov 2013 16:57 Oldbury
Parcel details received, awaiting receipt of your parcel"

I had the same message and it updated at around 10:30 and gave me a delivery time. Just received it a few minutes ago so if you are in/near Peterborough hopefully you'll get it today (can't speak for any other depots though).

Does seem like they are a bit short of drivers though, maybe last Friday put them off.

I'm 50 miles from Peterborough, I'm only 10 miles from Cambridge but no depot there. I've had no answer from DPD or Shopto as of yet so I guess I'll be waiting until Monday -_-

Hard drive swapped out, update done, now just need the PSN to recover so I can log in and I'm all set!

Gentlemen,

This is a complete and utter disaster. Amazon is a shambles.

I've been reassured twice by the Indian call centre it will be with me today. However, the status has remained as follows:

28 Nov 2013 20:25 Oldbury
Parcel details received, awaiting receipt of your parcel

So I called my local Chelmsford DPD depot. They had no trace of the package and had not received it. They were waiting for a delivery from Oldbury. It's highly likely that they would not be able to recieve it until Monday so maybe I'd get it on Monday at the earliest.

I contact Oldbury Customer Services next. They said whilst they may have received the parcel details that this is expected. The physical box isn't with them. This is down to Amazon to send the parcels on.

I said well can I pick it up from Oldbury on Saturday morning (This is me driving from Essex to Birmingham) they said even if it arrived they won't be open as it wouldn't have been processed so the soonest I could collect is Monday.

I then phoned Amazon. The Amazon chap said it's with DPD. When I pointed out I've already contacted all depots in my chain and they confirmed nothing has been sent to them it's all waiting with Amazon. I was put on hold for a good 15 minutes. The Amazon rep came back to me and stated that things are in transit and will be with me soon. I repeated that this isn't likely due to what I've just been told by DPD. Is it all stacked in your warehouse? The response was "It's in transit"

With that bombshell I pointed out that I pre-ordered on the 11th June why have people who pre-ordered after me received theirs and I've not received mine what's gone wrong? I paid for Amazon Prime and I expect next day when you offer next day. Clearly next day doesn't mean next day for Amazon. He then repeated the script that if nothing arrived by Tuesday they'd send me another as soon as possible. I asked when would that be given stocks were low. He had no answer.

So, if you have the status message I have there is no chance you are getting it today maybe Saturday but it's safe to say it'll be next week before you receive it.

I'm going to write a letter of complaint to Amazon as I feel as though I've been well and truly lead up the garden path just like most of you. I urge you to do the same.

I hope my experience helps inform you all.

I also found a list of all DPD depots and their direct numbers as the website sucks for trying to get any meaningful information.

Bottom line, I'm bitterly disappointed, the online query chaps in India will not give you an accurate picture of what's going on. I work away a lot and I took the day off work for this launch and it's been totally wasted. It's safe to say I will never ever use Amazon again for any type of pre-order.

Well and truly in the thick of delivery slot (16:37 to 17:37) and caught a glimpse of a DPD van speeding past about 20 mins ago. Got a bad feeling about this.

Also, how do you track the driver on a map? I just get a list of actions, I.e. At depot, out for delivery etc.

I know how you feel GitSomE_UK, I was working the perfect shift to receive mine today and next week I won't be. Amazon better pay us big compensation for this, I'm expecting at least one free full priced PS4 game. It's obvious they use DPD because they're cheap ( and crap ), I doubt we'd of had this issue with DHL or UPS!

City Link here, ordered June 11 and delivery estimate changed at 7pm last night to Monday 2nd. Contacted Amazon, customer service said it was a city link known issue and that I'd get the console today. No sign of it. Got back in touch, amazon very sorry, but City Link parcels are delayed. Offered me a tenner and a free month of prime. Other locals have theirs via royal mail, not on prime. Only other guy I know who ordered with prime is also delayed till monday.

I thought anyone who pre-ordered the PS4 with Amazon got upgraded to launch day delivery, hence via courier. I'd of preferred Royal Mail or a Collect + which they wouldn't offer to tell you the truth as the DPD depot is miles away!

DPD text me this morning, say they will deliver PS4 between 1-2pm, on their site it says it's out for delivery, all is well, wait in all day, nothing, Just check their site, now says it's back at their delivery depot.

Seriously pissed off.
