As the title says. Is there a way to do it without iTunes? It's an iPAd 2 running iOS5 (The Apple YouTube app is so kids friendly) and my iMAc is too old for AirDrop stuff.

Can I use Dropbox to move videos captured with the iPad?

You should be able to enable the copying of your photos and videos in Dropbox - then I guess it's just a case of copying out the video from the DB folder on your pc.

Edit: AirDrop doesn't work between iOS and OSX at the minute anyway!

My NAS (ReadyNAS Duo) doesn't let me use a NAS folder as the destination drive for Dropbox syncing. I just sync to a local C drive and then move them over to the NAS as and when.

I'm upgrading to a Synology NAS soon and I believe it will let me sync direct to the NAS.

OK then. I was hoping that someone would reveal a magical app that I completely missed. I guess Dropbox is close enough.

Weird that AirDrop isn't from iDevice to OSX. MAybe in Mavericks eh? Such an obvious feature. (Not that I could use it anyway. But still)

Well I never! It looks like there is an app for my NAS for Dropbox syncing. I guess the answer for you is Google your NAS name and Dropbox and see if there are any apps for it.

Sadly mine is too old for that shit.
    Early adoption is stupid.
Pay a higher price for an inferior product.
