Arya and the hound also talk about him dying in the 'trant had armour..and a big fucking sword!!'. So yeah, it was him not the other guy. But still.. |

I'm prety sure that the guy who poisons Pate at the beginning of AFFC is Jaqen. He's described basically the same as what Jaqen turns into when he leaves Arya.
Why does it sound like that?
He never returned in the books.
Ive always wondered if he is not Arya's fencing trainer. -

To be honest it's one of those things I didn't pick up on when I read the book but saw the theory afterward, went back and read the chapter and immediately saw it.

It is interesting that when we first meet him he is being taken to the wall and then ends up with Sam. -
You know I never connected the dots on that one , I honestly think Sam's story is one of the worst (second to brianne) story lines. Pretty sure I read through it in a daze of boredom -

Registered 15 years agoI quite liked the Sam stuff to be honest, I thought the stuff with Aemon was really sad. -

No the original German actor.
Yes, I was wondering if he had a target on the Wall and didn't just get himself arrested as a means to get taken there.
When you say "the actor" is it the one he turns into at the end? or are they turning him back into the original actor? (which would be wrong but it's hard not to want to watch more of that guy.) -

Registered 14 years agoBook 4 had far too much Cersei for me as I read it. And more worryingly in hindsight her bits were the highlights! -

Just caught up with s4. Thought it was once again superior to the books. I really do like how they're chopping and changing stuff around. They're doing such a good job of tidying up the shit. Having said that, I was delighted that the Hound looked like he was going to live, as he has been super cunting fucking entertainment all the way through, so I was gutted with how it finished. Arya though - phew, so icey.
Has Sansa turned into a fox? Don't recall her going that way in the book.
Liked the bit with the Craster child sacrifice too. Yet again, the show provides clarity where the books hint and waffle and procrastinate.
That Jonjo lad (or whatever he's called) - pretty sure he didn't come to an end in the book.
Oh and Tyrion's speech to the court. Fuck me.
The only 'big' incident in the books that I think surpasses the TV series so far is where Daenerys trades for the Unsullied. Maybe the battle at Castle Black too. Everything else has been done better on TV. -
Oh, the title sequence: Is there any significance in the sequence always cutting from the heart tree in Winterfell to the icon on the sun showing the slaying of the dragon? -

Registered 15 years agoThe rings and shit in the intro just show the history of Westoros from the point of Aegon's conquest up until the start of the show, basically. -

They have filmed the

But... I mean, they're going to have to get to the end of the 5th book this season so of course they filmed that.
