Registered 13 years agoI'm gonna wait until tomorrow and then watch the second episode as well so if the first spends too long setting the scene and laying things out, I've got the second to immediately go into. -

Registered 17 years agolooking forward to this, however I'm on ep 13 season 7 of House at the mo, (managing about an ep a night at the mo) so will wait until I complete the run before watching Saul, should have a few episodes to get stuck into by then. -
@KRadiation
Nah, even if the slower bits aren't to your taste, you have to watch it right up until that last scene - it's setting the next episode up and then some! -

Registered 7 years agoWas pretty easy to re-adjust, it's not Brraking Bad, but it is. Typical scene setting episode but as far as they go, very good. -

Registered 15 years agoIt was pretty good. A bit too capery for me, I thought the A Team style episodes were the weakest part of BB.
It started really well though. -
This is brilliant. -
Really enjoyed it. Not the best thing evah but bloody good tv with some great characters. Bring on the rest. -
@CosmicFuzz They have nailed this

Well, that was great, a very pleasing first episode. It's nice how it has that Breaking Bad vibe to it even though it isn't Breaking Bad. -

Yeah, it's nice to set foot back into what is obviously and stylistically the same universe.

The trailers did make it look a lot better than I thought it was going to be. -

Registered 15 years ago@dutchspeededup it was awesome! Great first episode. Loved the surprise black and white opening, was not expecting that. Wonder if we'll get more post-BB bits.
Ending was excellent too - bring on episode 2 tonight! -

Registered 13 years agoI hated the trailers, especially the scenes with him shouting you will atone etc that had no context. It looked all over the place. They really felt like random clips with no narrative to explain the show.
But the actual show was (as expected) beautifully paced. -

Registered 9 years agoThe "YOU. WILL. ATONE." thing does feel kinda out of place if you haven't seen Network. I guess he name-dropped the movie for that reason, but even then it felt strange. -

Registered 11 years agoSaw it last night and yeah, it's excellent.
It's got the same tone and vibe that BB had, but there does seem to be a slightly more comedic edge to it. Odenkirks acting was excellent too, he was very good on BB but he just seems a lot more focused this time (if that makes sense?).
Criminal lawyer who represents criminals set in the Breaking Bad universe?
Yeah, this is going to be awesome. I'm calling multiple Emmy wins already.

) but my main fear is that everyone will look a lot older than they did in Breaking Bad, even though it's meant to be set years before it. Could create a problem with suspension of disbelief.
