    Hi all

I will be in France \ Paris next month and would like to
know of one nice bar and one really good mainstream club
    to go to.

I like all types of electronic music and listen to
deep house such as St Germain and techno music like
    Scan X \ The Source Experience(Robert Leiner) \ Laurent
    Garnier.

I would like to go to a bar\club where people look smart
    and the music is
equally good. (if that's at all possible!!)

I only have 3 days there so I gotta spend my time wisely.

I have been recommened the Bhudda Bar.
    Have you been there?

    Cya

I've been to the Bhudda. Its more of a place to eat as the bar area is fairly small on an upper level.

Good looking people there and good music. (Dont ask me exactly what it was though)

Closed at 1 which was a bit early.

if you like laurent garnier go to the rex club, saw him there when i lived in paris

otherwise la loco in clichy is good, batofar is a superb club in a barge on the seine near the big library, studio 287 is superb but unfortunately in the ghetto and v hard to get to.

if you know a little french check out www.parisbouge.com has all the info you need :)

Thanks for the link, we'll be staying very close to the
the Eiffel Tower so it'll have to be a club quite near to
it. I'll just have to find a web site with reviews in
    English! ;)

great city to go out in!!

    my favourite places would be:

    - Corcoran's ... an Irish pub in Pigalle near the Moulin Rouge. Its where the girls hang out ;)

    - Sullivans - An Irish pub, fucking great atmosphere most nights.... 1 bd Montmartre, 75009 Paris

    - The Frog - i guess you are British, so you'll fit in well here, the most successful British pub, it's also a home-brew place though so the beer is as dirty as the street its on! Nice food though.

    - Le Galway - class pub in a class location, two minute away from Notre Dame. open tres late too

jrolla +1 -> batofar is a good laugh, shouldn't be a problem to get there, the Metro is quite close and it's near the Parisian versio of the M25 so a taxi home shouldnt be too much hassle!

    Best French places would be:

    - Sanz Sans - slick music with hot bar girls, this is a very fun place with a retaurant upstairs and a huge chillout zone in the back which had a 10' screen showing the dancefloor shot with an IR camera! this place was as close to sport as I came to all the time I was in Paris, we used to take bets on who'd score and who's crash and burn!!

    - Bhuda Bar - comfy, chilled atmosphere. bit expensive though, but you should give it a look in.

    - PUB SAINT MICHEL - Karaoke!!! this place is pure post pubness, get some food, sing till you sober up and drink till you puke.

If you want the Jazz thing, check out around Montparnesse.

Also you could get some late food at Bistro Saint Michel (opposite the fountain) which is near Notre Dame too. good food, reasonable prices.

    CLUBS

    there's tonnes of these!

If you wanna camp up your life got to:

    - Queen - on the champs Elysees (where else *rollseyes*) gay as christmas, very funny , good tunes... but I wouldnt know cos I got refused entry for being 'too straight' :)

    - Barrio Latino - samba club that loves its bacardi! its right accross the road from sans sanz so you can get the addy there

    - Folis Pigalle - if you've heard Lola by the Kinks you'll know what this place is about ;) great music in a wierd setting

    more normal clubs ;)

    - Lokomotiv - rue de Clichy, Pigalle - deadly place, three or four huge floors of diverse music, and hot birds.

    - L'enfer - class place in Montparnesse, funky crowd.

    - Rex - near to O'Sullivans - where Laurent Garnier started
    off.

Its bee over 18 months since I ws in Paris so some of these places might be closed, though I hope none of them are, because they were all class.

Hope this helps, have a good time:)
