The best thing about this forum, and why I use it more than any other, is that nobody takes it even remotely seriously, and the mods usually just participate in discussion like everyone else and only start moderating if things get out of hand. I'm really hoping that isn't going to change.
Ya'll take this forum way, way too seriously. -

Not that it bothers me much, but can I please get a little clarification on this? "TT's internet nuggets of joy!" doesn't fit this criteria, as it's not aimed at him. It's a thread he started, that people took it good spirit and continued to use over the 5 years since it was created. I quite liked that it had his name in the title - it made it feel like it was our thread, if that makes sense.
No threads aimed (positively or negatively) at specific individuals.
I feel similar about another thread, "bdagger's Charity Thread" is much the same, done with a positive spirit and named by the person that created the thread. Neither is aimed at the person in question, that's just the OP putting their mark on it.
So shouldn't the rule be "No usernames in thread titles, even if it's your own"? I should be clear, I'm not fussy but I'd like to know for future use. For example, I was might've been aiming stroke my own ego and do "DFawkes' Forum Awards 2013". I wasn't because that'd be deeply horrible, but you get the jist
Edit: Forgot to say, I'm very happy with the fine work of all the moderators on EG. It's spam free almost all of the time, and it's usually hunted down and killed quickly. Good job, mods of EG :

This can be done, though, so your argument is nil. DDevil changed his. Zizou did as well, and he's not even a mod.

You can swear in threads.
How come HA won't let me swear in thread titles but he can swear in his username?
And if I could change my username, I would have done a long time ago.
Craigy, can you please rename me HirsuitDerriere. -

That's fine though I'd be inclined to name it For Sales/Swapsies - November 2013 rather than the other way around.

I agree. This was a good thread title. These kinds of things are what make the forum a little bit our own, and not some sort of designed-by-committee-corporate-official-line-borefest like some other places I could name.

Registered 10 years agoOneof the things I like about this place are the great thread titles, e.g. “The Trailer Park”
Will this now have to be called “Movie Trailers”?
Shall we go ahead and remove all personality from forum titles? -
