But dont worry, you wont hear about SC2 & D3 untill its going to be released within a week.

Do I understand this correctly? Blizzcon is over, and Diablo 3 still wasn't announced? Or did I miss something?

Registered 18 years agoI don't think there was any chance of that. Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 (assuming it's in production) will most certainly not be released in the same year and they need to pimp Starcraft 2 now.
By the way, there are two quite interesting previews of Starcraft 2 on Gamespot. The single player campaign has been enhanced quite a lot (in between missions there's a sort of an RPG/adventure component). Also, there's a lot of new stuff in terms of unit abilities, which will make multiplayer quite interesting. -
You're probably right, but still...
Btw., I thought Starcraft 2 was said to be out soon, maybe even this year - but now I've just read winter 2008?! -

Registered 18 years agoHehe, it's Blizzard. Apparently the Zerg isn't even in the game yet. And there's no Protoss campaign, either. I'd say it still has a way to go. -

"You all remember how the website www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath went to Error 403 Forbidden 3-5 days before annoucement, the diablo3.eu (this url belongs to Blizzard Entertainment) is doing the same thing now, it used to just go to blizzard.com but now its pointing to Error 403 Forbidden (same as Wotlk page before BlizzCon).
Gamasutra reports that Frank Pearce of Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that the company is working hard on another new title... and it's not World of Warcraft or Starcraft II. 40 people are working on Starcraft II and 40 people are working on this secret Team 3 project, so it's definitely another big one. According to Pearce, "Team 3 is working on something really awesome. I can’t give you any hints, but it’s totally awesome."
We now have to wait for Games Convention to get a confirmation from Blizzard present at this gaming event (Hall 2 booth E12)." -

Registered 17 years agoDiablo 3 would be like the mother of all bombshells. It would simply dwarf anything else. Hell, I'm still playing Diablo 2 regularly (Lvl 79 hammerdin atm \0/ ) -

In the early days, I lost many an hour and evening to Diablo 2 with a few mates.
Though my WoW days are over, it seems that Blizzard are getting us in a pincer move with Diablo 3 so we've escaped from 1 net and landed in another. Really looking forward to this. -

Registered 17 years agoJust sat and watched the gameplay video - very impressive indeed. Had exactly the look 'n' feel you'd expect, and almost had me twitch-clicking the left mouse button to attack.
And now... the long wait for them to actually finish and release the damnedthing! -

You know what the problem with that announcement is?
I want to play Diablo 3, now. And nothing else. Everything in the last few days felt unsatisfying because it's not D3. And the releases in the meantime will just be fillers. :-/
I am normally quite patient, but not in this case. -
