I've literally just realised what my main beef was with the whole thread renaming thing. Before, it felt like HA was one of us just with a mod tag, but then when it stopped being just "person who tidies up following the guidelines" and instead "Hairy's rules now" it kind of felt like he was putting himself above us. Now that the new rules have been absorbed by the upper hive mind, it puts him back down here with the plebs.
So yes. -
Someone's been playing then.
It's very inconsistent at the moment which isn't helping, FWIW. It'd help if the mods were all singing the same tune rather than re-editing or pissing about. Undermines the whole thing and makes it worse than the original thread names in question. -

Also, what are you on about? I never took the word "Swapsies" out of the swapsies thread. All I did was re-organise the title to make the actual subject of the thread the lead rather than the month and year.
I renamed "October 2013 - For Sale/Swapsies" to: "For Sale/Swapsies - October 2013" to make it clearer to follow.
Maybe I should go back and edit all current threads and prefix them with "October 2013" for the sake of consistency?

Again, recently - and not just me I hasten to add - WE as a group of mods have been clamping down on threads that target individual users, as they always inevitably lead to 'bullying'. I edited TT out of the nuggets thread for the sake of consistency and in order to ensure I couldn't be accused of any favouritism. I've met TT on numerous occasions and he's nothing but delightful.
I didn't edit it because I'm a dick, or, my favourite insult this week, a Nazi with a hard-on on a power-trip.
I would never modify threads just for the sake of it. Everything I do, I do because I have a valid reason for it. Whether you agree with that reason or not is neither here nor there.
I don't have to answer to you.
I have been given these responsibilities because the people I do have to answer to, trust me explicitly and have the confidence in me to make the right decisions. i wouldn't have my Sheriffs' badge if they didn't trust me.
I am getting really bored with this now, and am not about to explain every single edit I've made because it's tedious and dull and because some people just want to have an argument and there's no 'winning' or 'losing'.

I love how every single badly-formatted thread title is now my doing. Someone else fucked with the Swapsies thread. I've already explained what I changed it to. If it's not that now, it's someone else's doing? Perhaps the threads owner? -
I don't know what I'm more offended by, the sheer noise/bandwagon/bile that's come up the last couple of days or the thread titles being whitewashed.

Without a way to know which particular mod was responsible for which edit, then I'm inclined to take them on their word when they say they did or didn't do things, considering that's all we're left to go on. -
I should really just go back to ruling with an iron fist and ignore the self-righteous indignation and vitriol coming from people who clearly have nothing better to do with their time. -

I mean, that thread title edit keeps being held up as an "insult" to a user, but I've not heard any comment from them directly on the matter.
