3D Cube has been destroyed! completely broke our ad spec so I brought this up with the provider who had this removed.
Extremely sorry for this break in our normal service.
Please let me know if there is anything else. -

This is next on my hit list.
I have been having trouble trying to find full details on this as well as see it on the live site.
Does it auto play? or fill the screen?
I have made a note with the provider of the ad that TGI should be removed so I expect this to be gone momentarily however if they need more details that would be appreciated.

@bennyw01 It's a "pull to expand" banner that appears at the top of an iPhone page and covers up all the important buttons in Mobile View
Plus, it does tend to judder around the screen a bit, making a right nuisance of itself.

I'm sure it must often be debated at regular staff meetings, but here's another vote for a subscription model.
I get a lot of joy out of EG; it's my main go-to site for just about everything. I certainly wouldn't mind paying an annual (or one-off) subscription to remove all ads from my time here. -

Registered 12 years agoYep. The amount of use I get out of EG, I'd pay a sub if it got portable view back for tablets. Especially now the site is blocked on the work firewall! -
I went ahead and made a thread to see if there's support for a sub = no adverts / portable view. Maybe if enough people support it they'll listen?

Registered 16 years agoThat's not how it works. The ads are put on by another company. They aren't supposed to put stuff that fills the screen, causes major performance issues and crashing, or redirects you automatically to Candy Fraud Saga. They still do though. -

Yeah, if you're going to leave a frustrating in-your-mobile-face advert running right over Christmas that's definitely the one to go for.
