I'm pleased to report mine has arrived within a day and a half of ordering, despite their mention of 2-3 weeks delivery.
I'm sad to add that I won't be able to pick it up until Saturday as I had a friend in Germany order it for me.

Colleague here got his yesterday - seems like a nice bit of kit, but the time it takes for the bloody camera app to open and be ready is absolutely ridiculous.

Care more about camera speed than quality in a phone personally.

Yay! Got mine now. Installed a bunch of my apps. enjoying it so far.
Lighter, a slightly cheaper fell to it coming from nexus 4, which is quite solid with the glass back.

Came with a nearly full charge and I've had the screen on non stop for a while now, setting it all up. Doesn't seem to drain all that quickly. I'll be able to compare better after a few days of use in the office.

    Happy bunny for now.:-)

Anyone heard anything with regards to the UK availability of the covers and Wireless Charger. They've been listed as 'Coming Soon' on Google Play for the last two weeks.

@IMO A friend of mine bought a wireless charger from dealextreme and it works as well as could be expected.

The time it takes for this to focus the camera is obscene. I really hope they improve it with an Android update in the near future.

The way things have been going lately I reckon they'll probably replace the camera app (breaking it free from "core" android) rather than do a system upgrade.

The camera got worse going from 4.2. to 4.3 Much sower to start.

Anyone figured out how to remove voice  mail notification? I have the icon sitting in the bar and can't swipe it away. I don't want to access my voice  mail cos it costs a bomb. I'm  actually surprised it is there given I told my provider I didn't want it.

The camera is indeed shockingly slow. So I'm anxiously waiting for an update.
I'm surprisingly disapointed with how cheap it feels compared to the N4.
    It's so light and plasticky.

I'm half tempted to sell it straight on. It's not available in Belgium yet. I can probably pass it on at the price I paid to some keen buyer.
The only problem is that the N5 I bought is a 32GB and the N4 a 16GB. I just enjoy holding and using the N4 so much more. It's got a solid and sturdy feel of quality and a bit og weight to it.

You usually have to pay for voicemail on PAYG, it's 8p per call on Giffgaff.

Has always coast on T Mobile, and as I am now on a sim only 12 month, I have to pay by the minute. Not allowed a one off payment per month.

My monthly bill is  11 quid.

Got rid of the notification by force stopping the call app,  but it reappeared later on.

First proper video test of my N5, watching the derby over wifi in HD. Went down by about 30%, so not too bad.

So what's the battery life like on this now that some of you have had it for a month?
  • Deleted user 6 December 2013 12:33:09
Not had to charge it once.
  • Deleted user 6 December 2013 12:45:57
Have you turned it on? :p
  • Deleted user 6 December 2013 12:49:51
No, but then I don't have one :(

    @neilka

    Hello, my sweet little chickpea.

... how are you getting on with your Nexus 5?

I have been told that we MAY receive a Christmas bonus (£200) and if I send my Lumia phone to O2 Recycle, I shall only have to sit on the streets of London outside the busy offices in Canary Wharf for a couple of hours to claw a few more pennies off of the rich folks to treat myself to one of these!

Quite fancy going back to Android to be honest. The apps on Windows Phone 8 is still fairly poor.

Better than my last HTC. Heavy use it lasts a day.

It's very nice, my sugar plum. It could do with a slightly better battery as it's sometimes on its last legs by the end of the day. But apart from that it's all "gravy".

Oi fuck sticks. Get in line. I asked first :)

I'm actually thinking about the LG G2 32gb version instead as it's better and only about £40 more on ebay.

Anyone else finding kitkat a bit buggy.

I keep getting the dialogue window that asks me to choose which program to use for a task "once" or "always". I'm sure I picked always before for the task but it asks me again.

Twice now, the volume buttons were changing the volume for media and games and such, not the phone ringer volume. Very annoying as the only way to get my phone on vibrate was to go into the settings, select volume and change it there.
Once I turned the phone off and on again, the volume buttons were once more adjusting the ring tone as you'd expect.

There's been a few little niggles like that. Mostly when I find somethign a bit weird, I think "huh ... maybe I'm mistaken." But these two I'm fairly sure about.

4.4.2 is a big improvement for the camera! Yaay.

Still a bit buggy otherwise, with various apps crashing from time to time.
