I get three to four days light use out of my N5. Leave data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G disabled, or set it on a schedule with a battery saver app, and it's a huge difference.

Better than my last HTC. Heavy use it lasts a day.
So what's the battery life like on this now that some of you have had it for a month? -

Registered 14 years agoI think I want this phone! I love my iPhone 5 but I want a change. Only problems I have are the reported battery life issues and the fact it only comes in 32GB. Is Google Music good for streaming? -
I have found it to be generally okay can be a bit patchy with a data connection, what I mean is slow to connect once connected it is fine. I am on 4G so when that's connected it isnt a issue.
You can however pin songs to the device so they are placed on the device and then unpin to remove them. -

Registered 17 years agoGoogle Play Music is fine. As mentioned, I have a few albums and playlists that I "pinned" which means they're downloaded and stored on the phone. I was listening to them whilst skiiing last week. -

Registered 15 years agoWhat I don't get is Google Play seems to be able to play some random songs offline; even those you haven't pinned.
I guess they must be in the cache, but there were quite a lot I could play, so it must be a big cache! -

Registered 18 years agoYeah, I found that quite weird. Start up a radio station whilst offline and you still get tons that aren't saved locally. I like it, well worth £8 a month imo -

Registered 15 years agoI don't even pay for it; I've just got 12,000 songs that I uploaded from my hard drive at home. -

Registered 18 years agoYeah, that's the vanilla version - I pay for All Access (Google's Spotify) for music I don't own. -
Slurmesh, if you are buying sim free Carphone Warehouse had the same price as the Google store couple of weeks back when I got mine. -
I am not paying either at the moment, got 17k songs uploaded and available.
Plus got spotify for free with my contact at the moment so no need to pay. Might consider it when that finishes. -

I think it downloads a bunch of songs you've played recently. You can get it to show you a list of all the songs stored on the device if you're interested.

Registered 14 years agoFuck it I'm off to buy one. I wanted the 32GB but for this price I have to give it a go and if I don't like it I can easily go back to my 64GB iPhone 5. -
Good man. Hope you like it. -

Registered 14 years agoRight have it. Opted for the black as they didnt have the red one in stock. As someone who's been using iOS for the last 4 years what do I need to know about Android?
What are the essential apps? -
Will probably find a lot of those you used on the iPhone are there.
Only one of the top of my head I can I think of us juice defender, switches off various confections when the phone is idle saving battery and switches off WiFi uses location based software. -
