Thank you so much for your feedback on LavaCat. It was invaluable to our journey here. I’ve been busy applying the finishing touches to our latest creation, Arrow Flick, a one-finger archery game. I invite you all to download it! And thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions you may have! In Arrow Flick, players are given five arrows per round, which are strategically flung at standing targets, roving animals and dangling fruit. Gameplay unfolds in one of two landscapes, savanna or forest. The savanna is populated by lions, crocodiles and rhinos, while the forest is home to deer, bears and rabbits. Players are awarded points and special achievements (there are 93 of them) for hits, kill shots, bull’s eyes, headshots, tricks, even misses. If players stray too far from the mark, they can earn such achievements as stumblebum, klutz or spazoid. Ace their marks, however, and they may be deemed the next Robin Hood. Arrow Flick includes three game modes (easy, normal, high wind challenge), each with 50 rounds. As the rounds or game modes advance, the winds become stronger, the animals’ kill zones smaller and their tendency to get spooked greater. Steadiness with the bow is harder and harder to maintain. Accompanying players in their challenge is a musical score that’s heavy on silly sound effects and nature sounds – birds singing, winds moaning, animals shuffling across the landscape. Players can hear the tautness of the string as its pulled back, the twang of the arrow’s release and the thud when it strikes its target. When an animal is killed, it cries with agony. Every headshot to a standing target is followed by a bloodcurdling yowl. The first three rounds of the easy and normal modes can be played for free. A full version of the game costs $.99. Thank you so much for your help! Registered 18 years agoWe're British. We don't kill defenseless animals. Even in fun.
And I'm an archer. Come up with a target-based game, then come back and see us. -

Registered 8 years agoHello everybody,
Thank you for all your great suggestions. Most of the feedback about Arrow Flick has been positive, with one exception.
No zombies. It turns out, not everyone enjoys killing defenseless animals (see above comment). But killing ravenous zombies? Well, that’s another matter. Apparently, a lot of people wouldn’t hesitate shooting that annoying neighbor who parties loud until the wee hours of the night and greets you with a middle finger -- if they’re a zombie.
Just in time for Christmas, we’ll be launching a new version of Arrow Flick that includes another game mode: Apocalypse. Players will be confronted with 50 waves of zombies. As players advance, each wave brings more zombies that move at a quicker pace. The only way to kill a zombie is either through two hits or one headshot. Players will be allotted an unlimited number of arrows -- they can earn special arrows, such as ones with explosive tips capable of killing more than one zombie, via in-game achievements.
As we’re in the production phase, I’d love to hear your recommendations.
Thanks,
Charlie -
I'll give it a shot. Hopefully the story isn't too drawn out.
I'm sorry.
