Preacher is the series that got me into comics. I think I'd prefer them to take a few liberties with the story than do a shit for shot adaption of the comic. Much like their take on the walking dead

It can't be anything like the comics, there's no way. Fans of the comics will hate it for being watered down, and it won't make many new fans because it's watered down.
