It could be worse.
You could get an Xbone & a copy of Ryse.
Or a PS4 & a copy of Knack. -

No; because then you'd have a working console but be unable to play Knack. Win-Win!

Yeah. Because MS would love to throw another few billion dollars down the drain fixing a fuck-up like that. -

Just like PS4, then, yeah? They're broken too, and as that link shows, so is everything else. Standard electronics failure rate, for the TLDR crowd, is 15% for the first 4 years of their lifespan. Laptops average 22%. Plus, a disc drive's pretty easy to sort out, and they're all in warranty, it's a non-issue just like it was with PS4.

I am pretty certain most iPhone cases actually increase the stress on the screen when dropped which increases the risk of the screen breaking when you drop it.

I have dropped case free one 20+ times onto laminate floors and no breaks. I know 3 people that have dropped cased iPhones once onto carpet and the screen cracked. -

Registered 11 years agoSad that both next-gen consoles are having issues. I guess they could be damaged in transit? Either that or sloppy work from both MS and Sony, but in the modern day with internet its a lot easier to get heard if you have a failing console, was it the same back in the days off older consoles? -

Looks like the Blu-Ray drive is potentially going to be a big issue for MS if these early reports are indicative of a wider issue?
And borked updates bricking cosnoles seem to be happening too.
Given that the day hasnt even started in the US proper, I suspect we're going to see a lot more soon. -

Mine arrived, disc tray was fine but someone had welded a plate over the ethernet port. -
