Out today in Europe, currently got it downloading off the PSN myself.

Looks very promising, anyone else giving it a go?

The first one was a bit guff though wasn't it? I won't be holding my breath for anything earth-shattering, but will certainly try it and see how it is.

Considering its F2P, there's nothing to lose really. The IGN review posted above is very positive anyway.

4.9GB, so knowing my internet connection I'll be trying it out tonight.....

Guess servers will be up later

Took about 5 attempts just logged in

There is a bot mode, also you can rebind all the controls.

When you log in you will also download another update

I'm keen to give this a go. The first one on PS3 suffered awful spawns and woeful hit detection / lag but the fact this is FTP means it's a no brainer. Basically, why would people not try!?

Well I think it's marked up as a beta so it is rough and dodgy in places. Hit detection is a bit hit and miss. Some nice ideas in there, got the Crysis style visior scanner, earn credits during match and access in match depot to get flamethrower, missile launcher some sort of heavy armoured suit, sentry guns. Played on one largish map, train wreck, shops, some giant hologram showing something like a Pokemon

It's not bad at all, and I can see myself becoming a regular as a nice antidote to Battlefield. But at the moment, it's very laggy.

I quite like it as a fast paced shooter as a break from battlefields more thought out approach but 90% of all games I join are 2v1 or 2v2, I genuinely thought it'd be heaving with it being free and the limited release titles, doesn't bode well for when more games hit the shelves :/

@Reallysorry huh! I've been jumping into full team deathmatch games all the time.

Might be because I haven't been playing TDM mainly the other modes but I shall give them a bash :)

Played a few games against bots as I couldn't log on but the frame rate was very poor. I'm not one that usually moans about frame rate but I literally turned a half circle with no frames being shown in between. This was against bots so no latency. Other than that, it seems ok for a quick blast here and there.

@effinjamie I tried some TDM tonight and you were right filled straight up but my god it was laggy, died three times as I was unable to move on spawn lol but when it's working I really do like it :)

Agreed - its probably a patch or two away from becoming something very enjoyable. Will leave it on my HDD and come back in a month or two most likely....

It got a sizable patch yesterday, although that was the first time my machine's been on since sunday.

To my shame, I still haven't started this up yet to see what it's like.
