Played a bit further in this. Wasn't quite as ipen a set of choices I was up to as I thought. Lots of blocked off purple areas. Still skipping effort on the grid. Splatted a 'mutant' on the world map but at the cost of a few too many 'KOs getting me 0 GP...

Getting all the titles is just so bullshit, it's really not worth it at all.

And I refuse to believe that anyone got Judith's ultimate weapon without looking at a guide. Stupid scripted events.

    I like Edna too.
As for trophies this seems to ve the easiest trophy game yet out of the ones I have put time into on PS systems. Often it is hours hefore you gwt 1 trophy and you spend 60hrs+ to end up with about 40% trophies...

I'm kind of feeling that for all of the depth of the skill and battle system, it's a bit wasted by how fucking easy this game is so far. 12 hours and presumably a full party now and haven't even used an item yet...

It's the most rage inducing thing ever.

The funny thing is that it's technically not difficult at all, it just has a mechanic where if you make a mistake, you get teleported back to the start of the dungeon.

So you make your way back and of course in your annoyance you fuck up elsewhere OVER AND OVER until you have to take a 10 minute break to calm down.

This dungeon I'm in is straight out of Graces :( All narrow corridors and ninety degree turns. Bah.

@Duffking It's main-story (underneath Pendrago Sanctuary) It's not so bad really, just a bit bland in design. I've just grabbed all four elemental tablets, so I'll put it aside for now while PSX is on.

I thought it was the best of the 4 iirc. Bit straightforward but maybe I liked that after the clusterfuckery of the water one.

I'm doing it as my second trial, as I just happened upon it while exploring. I'm thinking I won't be able to beat the boss at my current level, but I may as well do the dungeon itself while I'm here, and then I can always come back if I can't handle the boss (apparently it's Lv42, and I just hit 33).

More generally, I do like that you have the field abilities. Sure, there's nothing majorly puzzly (at least so far), but it breaks up the usual jRPG progression of 'walk through area doing nothing but fighting, fight boss, cutscene, rest at inn, repeat' a little bit.

EDIT Looks like I did the boss anyway. I've felt like I'm a good 6-8 levels behind the curve for a good while now, but the game is easy enough so far that it doesn't seem to matter.

I had just finished the temples when Xenoblade X arrived. Not had any real challenge so far (on normal) but enjoying it so far. Now it is a battle between this and XBX for my limited TV time (and Persona 2 Innocent Sin is my current almost completed handheld game)

Yep. Was annoying. Doable but you had to be vigilant. Still ruing my weakness. This was supposed to be finished by now ready for XBCX ;) Probably not the most appropriate remote play game either with lots of R2 and timing...

I was playing over remote play and during that boss I managed to pull off my first ever remote play mystic art - I've found them absolutely impossible up 'til now. I'm definitely going to have to buy that L2/R2 grip thing soon.

And would you believe my copy of Xenoblade still hasn't arrived :(

Oof. Beat the Dirt Leech with an armatised mystic arte, and look at all that lovely grade.

I think I'm finally coming up on the end now, unless they have a traditional 'Tales of' false ending, followed by another thirty hours.

    I just beat Mayvin.

Good work Ror. Getting my copy tomorrow morning, looking forward to it! Only got three days to play it though before an exam takes priority so must blitz as much as possible!

It's weird, it feels like a massive game, yet I've 'only' got 55 hours on the clock (and you can probably take five or so off where I've just left it idle here and there).

There's quite a lot of side stuff to do as well. I've done the vast majority that I've come across, but I'm sure I've probably missed some too.

You've still got a few hours to go, at least in the main game. The bonus episode (Alisha's Story) is pretty much mandantory to make sense of the ending though, and unfortunately it's an uninspired dungeon crawler for most of its duration. Also, I believe they wanted to charge for it after a while so I hope you've already downloaded it.

Zestiria was a bit of a letdown to be honest.

Ah ok, cheers. I won't be finishing it today then!

Yeah, I grabbed the Alisha DLC on day one. When I get to that I'll probably just slap it on easy and burn through it.

I am on the same point as Ror. My incompletable uncompleted sidequests disappeared and save point travel has gone. Assumedly I am on foot for a while and have to chance upon the 2 sidequests I know of that were unfinished.

I have enjoyed the game so far although it has been a bit easy on 'normal' but that is par for the course with Tales games. If I get TV access I should hopefully finish it (and DLC) this year (and possibly polish off the last dungeon of Tales of Graces f future arc giving me 4 Tales games polished off this year (even if 90% of Graces was done last year) then decide which one of the massive Tales backlog to do next (possibly Innocence as I played a fair bit of that or one of the Xillias, although I do have pretty much every game in either Japanese or English and only finished Abyss (and 99% of Symphonia on GC before being defeated by the 'finish the story or try and do all of the sidequests'conundrum and ending up doing neither))))

And then there all my SMT games... Etc... Sigh.
