| @One_Vurfed_Gwrx I did manage to go and do the boss in Trizolde Cave and follow up the medusa side quest after that point, so you can still do them if you can remember where you need to go for them. You only have fast travel locked until you go back to Great Camelot Bridge (although some places will still be locked off to you, I think). I left it shortly after that, and I don't know when I'll have a chance to get back to it now. |

Registered 15 years agoKids and final gorgon mission basically to do in the missions I could 'discuss' A few mutants floating around too if I remember where they are. And at least 1 undiscovered crucible as no trophy yet. I know where to go for the latter and I guess I can check out the actual area the former started again on the way. Was a bit offputting to lose the conversation options though. -

Registered 12 years agoI haven't actually done any of the crucibles yet. I haven't decided if I'm going to yet - I've enjoyed the game so far, but I have so much on my backlog that I'm half tempted to just blast through the rest as quickly as I can. -

Registered 9 years agoHaven't managed to play a huge amount yet but like what I have played a lot, even if the skills bit is really confusing!
Shame about lack of screenshots - been documenting good/interesting moments in games on Twitter recently (more for me to look back on) but won't be able to with this. Shame. -

Registered 15 years agoThe lack of screenshots seemed odd, especially as they turn ot (and sharing) back on for just the crucibles. I'd guess locensing due to JP voice track for vids but no excuse for screenshots unless Sony only allow both vid and screenshots or neither.
As for the game systems, I didn't pay huge amounts of effort to the skills to be honest as it was pretty dull and didn't feel necessary on normal (I skipped the FoF system on Abyss too) -

Registered 16 years agoJust grabbed this during the Steam sale. Pretty happy with the port and I'm going to get a bit more time than expected since my son seems to enjoy watching the odd cheeky 15 minute stint. -

Registered 15 years agoI see the expected endgame with loss of all mission dialogue gets resolved when you get to the subsequent real endgame section. Polishing them off now before going to finish, although one 88,888 hp optional boss is a bitch who I may leave until last... But for now, time for bed before I get moaned at for playing games too late
Still enjoying the game and it still manages to surprise me with the odd moments that are darker than usual (despite its blue skies style presentation) -

Registered 9 years agoQuestion - has anyone had any issues with Sorey when he runs? Unless the camera is in a position the game likes, he sometimes stops running or kind of stutters.
It's annoying me quite a bit to be honest, just feels really shit.
Edit: fairly sure it's my controller as it's slowly getting worse as I play.

Registered 15 years agoThat definitely sounds odd. The controller is fine with other games?
In a random aside, I just noticed they had released some free God Eater DLC at some point (I don't know if permanently free or temporary but assume the former) which gives you 2 costumes (female one being on the dubious side) with associated battle music change and a sidequest which seems like a multustage crucible with enemies from the God Eater games (which I have never played) which look quite pretty... -

Registered 9 years agoI've noticed it moves ever ever so slightly 'up' in Broken Sword, think it was making Snake move forwards slightly in MGSV as well so some odd input thing.
Yeah I noticed the God Eater DLC too! One thing that was a bit of a shitter is I noticed the day one edition I bought had the Alisha's DLC thing in it for free but had to be downloaded by 18.11.15, now it's for £. Damn! -

Registered 15 years agoYeah the Alisha thing sucked. Basically ahd to sign up at Namco and get it from there in time. You didn't even need the game (although I preordered). At least with most PSN stuff you can do that unlike the bloody 3DS (I did miss out on a few US region temporarily free things though due to not setting up an account (Drakengard 3 Jap voice DLC springing to mind) -

Registered 9 years agoDefo the controller, sometimes runs but other times doesn't in Battlefront now, wondered what was up with that yesterday!
I have a spare in London so that will become my full time controller I guess! -

Don't bin your pad, if that was even an option but I'd imagine if dualshock 4, it's going to be the same fix involved.
Try it yourself, or send it to me, I'll try and fix. I did my dualshock 3, just need to follow a guide on disassembling a dualshock 4. -

Registered 15 years agoI have a DS3 that randomly goes into sticky button phases. It was permanent but a full disassemble and clean (even though it seemed pretty clean already) and reassemble seemed to fix it for a while but it occasionally messes up again so is now my tertiary controller. Weird thing (in my case it was the face buttons) -

Registered 15 years agoAnd finished Zestiria. Finished every sidequest Rose mentioned bar a crucible I assume is in the EX area. Didn't get all the Normins but found most I think. Got all discovery points (got a few more loading my lost completion save in EX area). Killed moat mutants and bonus bosses including the nast D.T. (abbreviated for spoulers)
I enjoyed this a lot. I liked the general cast and the art style. It was nice to see a main character who wasn't emo or brash. A few camera issues in battles but not a major problem. I only played on normal though. I will likely have a go at EX dungeon as seems surprisingly easy so far and I will do Alisha DLC. Looking forward to Berseria. Need to polish off end of Graces future arc then choose which Tales to play first next year. Finished 3 this year (Hearts R, Tempest and this). Quite happy with my preorder here (I got a bit of a discount on an Amazon deal) and not too fussed that I skipped the Ltd.Edition this time. May check out the OVA on Youtube... -

Registered 12 years agoI'm at the Maltran battle, and I guess Lv 46 is just too low (boss is 61). I really don't want to do any grinding. -

Registered 15 years agoI forget what level I was for that but I didn't have any problems so must have been a little higher. I never did any intentional grinding but I did try to do mutant creatures when I could handle them (I probably forgot a few early ones that are still hiding away in rarely visited locations that were too much hassle at the time. I think I ended up in the 70s for the finale but I had taken down every bonus boss I could find including the D.T. one which was possibly the toughest (only lvl 99 encounter in main playthrough, although I took down a level 115 in the EX dungeon (which was shockingly easy in comparison).
Most bosses I found armatising with Lailah worked well even if she wasn't a weakness for tge wide sweep of the sword which sometimes interrupted attacks too. She was my most used seraph (although there were times when others were more appropriate). I was lazy with the fusion, just mostly going for power and not buying any weapons and I ignored the skill lines systems completely. -

Registered 12 years agoI've been about ten levels behind the curve for at least half the game at this point, but it's been so easy it's not been an issue. The difficulty is wildly uneven though - I fought the Imposter Sergei about ten minutes before Maltran; that one was level 60 and I absolutely pissed it.
I think I've done most of the mutant hellions. I'll have to check a guide and see. I've done none of the crucibles though, so maybe I'll do those and see how far they get me. Do they give decent xp? -

Registered 15 years agoI did 7 crucibles, all the ones on the main map. As they are nostly one character only I imagine they help that character only. I am trying to remember if I fought the one you mentioned ten minutes before your current roadblock (no spoiler tags on phone so crypticness instead...). I need to look up and see if I did or not...
Yeah, most normal stuff was pretty easy. I tended to explore a lot and did all ruins when found but it messed up my discovery skits by being out of order (as well as ones I missed and had to hunt for). Only troublesome enemies were bonus and quest bosses. I don't remember too many story route boss problems. Some crucibles I came back later for.
My finishing time was a touch over 60 hours. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah, the only boss I've had a problem with before this point is the... third? gorgon fight. I see the next step is to fight two of them together and I don't think I can be arsed.
I think I'm about 50 hours at the moment. I'm pretty sure I've explored everywhere, and the only outstanding sidequest I have is the kids one. I just got sick of fighting for paltry xp, which is why I'm underlevelled. Doing sidequest bosses and mutant hellions got me a handful of levels. I just can't be bothered to spend hours battling for ~200xp when you need thousands to level up -_- -

Registered 15 years agoI did the gorgons. The two weren't too bad either. I think I got them on the second attempt (bloody petrify). I would have thought your problem boss was easier than the 3rd gorgon... I expected a lot more trouble with that fight, maybe I was just lucky... -
Ror 20,336 posts

Registered 12 years agoIt might be in the long run, considering what utter bullshit those petrify abilities are (especially if your AI members decide to armatize). This fight I'm on now, I just can't dish out or withstand enough damage, so I'm sure I'm just underlevelled. That boss has, I think, 27,000 HP, and I got them down to 25,000 before they KO'd everyone. I was basically giving them scratches. -

Registered 15 years agoI forget that one's weaknesses but usually I made sure to have some BP ready with a couple of random fights then armatised with weakest or Lailah, focussing on the standard fire sword sqing move with the odd healing when necessary. While trying to beat the D.T. boss I did discover one spell of Lailah's was exceptionally useful but it felt a bit cheesy... -
Anybody watching the currently-airing anime adaptation of this? I wasn't a massive fan of the game, but the anime seems to be another case of UFOtable doing what they did with Unlimited Blade Works and giving mediocre source material a much better adaptation than it deserves.
