    If his capsule malfunctioned wouldn't he be dead? Confined for years in an enclosed airtight capsule with no air or food. If the capsule isn't working properly, you generally get an end result like the astronauts that didn't make it in the original Planet of the Apes.

    It's for the Hollywood ending. In the book time carries on from the point the server dies, Rita is still dead (in fact the looper has to kill her himself to break out of the loop) and he has just won a small battle in the ongoing attritional war.

    It's a Pyrrhic victory to say the least, so you can see why they changed it (even though it makes far more sense)

    Just watched this and came here to complain about the ending, but now I'm more annoyed that you guys don't seem t know your Alphas from your Omegas!!!

    I remember the film being shit, and Emily Blunt looking really thin.

    A SEQUEL!?

    Hopefully Zac Efron will play a younger Tom Cruise. Either way, tis is a sequel I'm looking forward too.
