Registered 12 years agoPretty successful week for me, I finished off both South Park SoT and Crysis 3.
I started Metro last Light but keep getting a crash at the same point so will have to start it again. I also started the Witcher 2 and almost did half the game over two days!

Also started Steamworks Dig and Deadly Premonition this week.
Current thoughts are excellent and intriguing respectively.
Hopefully Steamworks is fairly short as I will probably get bored beyond about 6 hours. I also hope the oddness of Deadly Premonition can pull me through as the game is very ropey technically. -

Registered 17 years agoFinally got my 100% on Red Dead, so up to 24 for the year. Did the first half hour of Undead Nightmare but strongly disliked it so will probably not bother with that. Also did a couple of dungeons in Link Between Worlds. -

Currently playing FF6 (will take me a while...) and going to start Far Cry 3 over weekend. Got Watch Dogs coming next week but won't get a chance to start it until next weekend so hopefully I can blast through FC3 before then. Not going to bother with any of the side missions etc, WD will be chocked full of them and I'll end up getting burnt out! -

Registered 12 years agoI finished Final Fantasy X HD this week. I was going to starts Demon Gaze but thought I'd try the Conception 2 demo which has hooked me.
Metro LL is still giving me issues in the exact same place and after some googling appears to be a common issue with nvidia 6 series cards. I'll be doing some trouble shooting today but may have to just wait for the next gen rerelease. Add to this the problems Wolfenstein is giving me and I'm feeling like a bit of a chump having dropped £200 on a new graphics card a couple of months back

Week 22
Last week I played some civ 5 (keeper) and got rid of some old boxed pc games. Realized that my very noisy laptop puts me right off pc gaming. I like economic and grand strategy games on PC but they are such time sinks that I rarely get a chance to play. I may very we'll be reaching the end of my pc gaming days. This week will be all about Mario Kart 8

About 4 hours into Final Fantasy 6 but really not feeling it. Might give it a few more then chuck it. Also getting close to chucking Stealth Inc, bit bored of it.

Started Mario Kart 8 which shouldn't take long to "finish" seeing as I've already done 5 cups on 100cc, so I'll probably get another short game finished this week too. -

Got an Xbox One, so started Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3. This week I'll be carrying on with them and starting Titanfall (can this even be finished?) and Mario Kart 8. -

This week I:
Did another dungeon in Link Between Worlds
Did an hour or two of P4G
Started Mario Kart 8, 3* on 7 of 8 50cc GPs (2 on the other, will rectify), and played some multiplayer
Got to level 14 on Forza 5
Played some Dead Rising 3 (5 hours or so in)
Started Titanfall (tutorial done, few matches played, level 3)
Did two levels on Killzone Shadow Fall
Tried the World Cup Ultimate Team thingy on FIFA 14 -

Registered 15 years agoI've decided to jack in Final Fantasy 6. Put in about 6 hours, just not clicking with me. I HATE random battles now, I have no time for them. People go on about how it's the best one, but I'm just not seeing it. Maybe if I'd played it at the time, but the dialogue/story isn't grabbing me.
So yeah. Chucked.
Also chucking Murumasa. Boring!
So that's me at 22 games. Going on holiday next week so will hopefully blast through Pixeljunk Shooter on vita. -
Week 24
Almost done with a Link To The Past. On the final dungeon now. Did a little bit of the new Kirby and loaded up various Wii U games for a look. -

Registered 12 years agoFlipping heck It's been a few weeks since I updated. Thanks to a few weeks of involuntary holiday, I've got through:
Bastion
Very pretty with a great soundtrack and narrative hook. It's a shame the game play itself is rubbish. It became a real chore to get through towards the end.
Witcher 2 EE
Brilliant from start to finish despite the rubbish combat. I did the whole thing, 48 hours worth, in less than a week. I can't wait for number 3, if anything just to see how my decisions change things up.
Metro Last Light (fixed the crashing issue by under clocking the GPU to standard 680 frequency)
Absolutely amazing and worth all the arsing about trying to get it working. It took my 18 hours in total and I was not bored once. Gripping story, a huge amount of variety in ways to approach most situations and how you arm yourself; awesome set pieces and to top it off I'd say it's the prettiest game I've ever played (crysis 3 beats it on a technical level, but only just). I'd advise anyone who has only played the console versions of metro to either grab them on PC or get the redux versions heading to the current gen consoles. I decided to grab the PC version of LL after trying it on PS3 thanks to plus. It's like a totally different game visually and has so much more atmosphere. You haven't experienced this game until you've played it will all the settings turned up a high resolution! Seriously, this is probably my favourite single player shooter ever.
There's a couple of other things I've got through I think but I can't remember them off hand. I'll post more as I remember them.
